Following the Flyers waiving Ryan Johansen with the intention of terminating his contract, questions about how long before we know how this ends have arisen. The NHLPA has 60 days to file a grievance, and after that there’s the settlement negotiation process, potential arbitration between the league and union, a bunch of steps before the Flyers know when this will all be over. So Charlie & Bill looked at previous terminations to see what the usual schedule is for these processes.
