  1. The moment green was hired, I was hopeless. There's no justification whatsoever for choosing him over the other options. It simply reflects the losing mindset and culture of management.

  2. There must be something in the water out in Ottawa that takes away the skill of their goalies. Even on the struggling sabres teams of the late 2010s, Ullmark was able to keep his save precentage above 900. Add on the fact that Korpisalo is having a pretty good season in boston, with a .909 sv% and a 2.40 GAA.

  3. Heres my short essay on Ottawa: Many of the young, core players are mentally broken. When they start the season, the jet engines are ON and they start zooming. But when they lose, they take it to heart and they start getting in their own heads. Then they lose 2 in a row. Then 3. Then the room goes silent because the demons of past seasons of failure start smothering them. Its HARD to break through that losing trauma. Its like Toronto in the playoffs. Its like "oh no…not again". Then they start gripping their sticks tighter, suddenly the lights are too bright, and before you know it youre back at the bottom of the standings. Things like that are really difficult to overcome.

  4. The core is mentally weak, and DJ taught them to be fine with losses. Brady Tkachuk is a cosplay captain, a true captain doesn't defend the coach from the backlash DJ got for the lack of improvement in results. People mistake playing a power forward role as leaderships, Brady liked DJ because he never held him accountable that's why he defended him, he's captain but doesn't help his team win games, he only pads his own stats and fights after they already lost.
