Dobson should not be resigned. We maybe 60 point defensemen but is a huge liability defensively, stupid play after stupid play, there is no nastiness to his play. Do not resigned him. Trade him get a haul for him. Get a haul for Nelson.
Barzal also…. not so sure we win with a guy you holds on to the puck to skate circles no where and will not shoot. Rebuild this team.
Barzal to Chicago for 1st and 2nd round picks, JGP, he can go, Dobson, picks and prospects, need to rebuild our foundation with qualified young talent, better start getting rid of players before there worthless 🤫
Thank God with all these injuries, Lou being the genius that he is signed big names like Engvall and Fasching and with Walstrom’s scoring touch this season I don’t think it’s gonna be a problem with these guys missing even with pelech missing Dobsons defensive game in his own end is impeccable.
Load up on picks and hope we get the first overall it’s a shame how everything is going down the shitter but realistically we should’ve started a retooling years ago
Isles have finally run out of road… They should have cleared the decks at the trade deadline last season when teams overpay to hopefully win in the playoffs, but they held… Team is going nowhere… perhaps, they squeak into the playoffs the last week of the season… but will be a first round exit at best. Lou sold the future to win now but it ain't happening… Too bad, because there are nights they look solid… but Isles CAN'T protect a lead… Everyone should be on the block… Team is full of very likable character players but Lou needs to power past liking players… The game is fast and getting faster…Isles can't keep up.
I hate to say it but I feel like they're going to play up now that they can't rely on Barzal.. we'll see what happens but it's time to give Dufour/Maggio a look as well IMO..

Agree Matt rebuild is needed. The only untouchables on roster are: Dobson, Sorokin, Barzal, Horvat & Mitch Anderson' s mustache !

Between their prospect pool, need for speed and skill on a cheap contract maybe a lottery pick would be the best thing for this team.

The scariest part about all of these injuries is that Lou blames the failed season on these injuries and resigns Palmeri and Nelson.
