One way not to blow a third period lead is to just have isles goalie pitch a shut out which 30 did sat. vs. sabres. Offense only scores 2 g again with e n g securing w with 1 sec. left. This after another third period debacle vs. caps on fri. Same shit-blow a 4-2 third period lead, settle for well deserved loser pt. 40 lousy with .808 save % as pk gives up 2 more g.
Isles were fortunate to get 3 pts. over weekend cause isles only deserved 2 pts. Isles can thank loser bettman and his fkn loser point for that once again as isles lead nhl with 6 sot losses (all thanks to third per. blown leads) keeping isles on that playoff line. And 18 just sucks and wouldn't be on any other nhl roster. Why can't louzer just karamov 18 to europe for good where he can skate around all game on nice huge euro ice? 10 shows life once in a while for a short stretch. Still not enough to justify his first round status louzer thought 10 was.

If the Islanders don't make the playoffs, it's probably a good thing.
I think the Isles has an endurance issue and runs out of steam by the 3rd period. They need to bring in a speed skating consultant to teach certain endurance calisthenics, new on ice techniques for faster skates and recovery, etc.

Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? The Islanders had a little bit of a split. They lost their usual way at DC in OT, and they played a 60-minute game at 🏡 against 🦬. The pace on Saturday was great, Anders Lee scored a goal. They scored a PP goal, and the PK was good, too. Ilya Sorokin was on top of his game. Patrick Roy played 7 defensemen as well. Friday's hero, Anders Lee for scoring 3 points. Friday's 🐐 COMMUNITY EFFORT for another 3rd period collapse, which is getting to be sickening. Saturday's hero Anders Lee for scoring a goal, and also for getting an empty net goSimonal. Saturday's 🐐 NOBODY. Simon Holmstrom needs to prove that he can play smarter 🏒. Pierre Engvall didn't get Patrick Roy's message the other day, and it cost him a benching, AND HOPEFULLY THAT GOES FOR THE REST OF THEM. HAPPY 🎂, RALPH STEWART, an original Islander. He got a hat trick against St. Louis just before 🎄. Hear from you later, Gil, but before I go, I was listening a 🎵 called Do It Til Your Satisfied by BT Express. The resaon I bring this up is they had a contest on what to name the line of Billy Harris, Clark Gillies, Bryan Trottier. The BT Express was considered, but I'm glad it didn't win because 1. Even though Trots was a Black Ace, he was still green to LI, especially at 19. 2. He wouldn't have liked having a line named after him, and 3. The RB group from Brooklyn wouldn't have liked it either. So they went with the LILCO Line. Now, LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

Good morning team! Gil, not quite the weekend I hoped for. Taking both games would have been sweet. I hate losing to the Caps the way we did. Big lead given up, AGAIN! The game against the Blues really was a lot closer than some would believe. We didn't give up a PP goal, which was nice. Actually, we didn't give up anything. I like the way Roy is making an attempt to keep the team fresh for the entire game. I do have to say, thank goodness we have Sorokin though. Being up 2-0, he made some heroic saves that earned him that shutout. Doesn't matter if the Blues are struggling right now. A few lucky breaks here and there, and that game could have gone to OT as well. Any case, it was nice getting a much needed 2 points. Excellent episode, Gil. We have Montreal up next. Looking forward to tomorrow's show and game.

Gotta remember also. Simon Holmstrom took a pay cut this year strictly to help out the organization. 25k less then league minimum if I remember correctly.? So if he continues to play pretty well, he should be given alotta credit for that in the future! I've been impressed with him as well and I just hope he can stay consistent. That's been his biggest crutch in my opinion. But i just thought he deserved a shout out for that pre season dedication!
I hope this team gets their “act” together and start winning a series of hockey games to even be considered for a wild card spot!
I was the first to criticize Holmstrom a while back. Hope he keeps it up we really need someone to emerge on offense, especially a younger player. I do not think going to the net is Engvalls M.O. but Roy sent the message!!! And you are right Gil I would of signed up for 3 points on Friday. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving weekend Gil. LGI
