Mete was worth a pick I can’t believe MB just waived him. I really feel like he didn’t want to spend the weekend on the phone so he put him on waivers and called it a day.
Happy for Mete and Vatanen! Change of scenery means opportunity to play to develop to one's full potential in Mete's case and rejuvenate his game for Vatanen.
I remember Mete playing offense for a game 2 years ago… never seen him better then this time. He skates more fluently than Jonathan Drouin and thats weird… but i would've kept it i think

Sometimes it's just sad to be a Habs fan. We actually managed to get worse on defense over the deadline.
Sami Vatanen should fit in very well with Dallas. The Stars blue line gets deeper and and Vatanen can play an offensive game in their system should Bones allow it. And it adds to the Helsinki South movement that Dallas has been pushing with their roster
I just realized that this means that both parts of the Vatanen-Henrique trade from 2018 have now been placed on waivers this year. Pretty crazy to think about.
Mete's career was derailed when he was thrust into NHL duty right after the draft. He was too immature physically as a defenceman.
