we should start tanking. With they way we are playing and all the injuries, we should tank, and sell at the deadline . 29 to anyone at the deadline for youngin's and or picks. Maybe Palms as well.
Just more shuffling of the deck chairs like on the titanic hoping it wont sink. Roy is looking for any combo that can work with limited roster plagued by injuries. Maybe roy should continue to put 11 fwds. out there if that is a way to keep 18 out of the line-up. Then you still have 26 dragging bottom line down. And why is roy now realizing 8 should not be on the ice in crucial tight games late? That is another reason isles should go for high pick. Got a d man m. schafer moving into top pick status. Dude can skate, move the puck, lead the attack. Something isles need badly. Someone to take pressure off of 8 to do it all because he can't. And i'm sure roy is keeping an eye on the habs and their coaching situation. Probably can't wait to get away from this mess and being stuck with too many useless slugs like 18 and no worthy re-enforcements in ahl to call up. And former french/canadian habs are like gods in montreal.
And the daily 29 rumour is out there. One hack expert says casucks are interested in 29 yet no id'ing of who would go back to isles. You gotta wonder if louzer doesn't do something to re-shape this roster by tdl and give roy better options than 18 to put out there roy is gone the minute hab job opens up probably after this season. Send 21 back to nj with dev's ready to go for it for pick, prospect. Doubtful isles can get the first, fourth, two mediocre prospects isles sent to nj in '21 tdl deal back for 21 and zajac. Roy probably wants a younger faster roster to work with. Not team geriatric. Even pens are getting younger up front with mcgrouity, tomasino, and now dach. Take note louzer.
great points about Engvall and Roy. It's Roy's job to get the most out of his team and with other players not really producing, injuries. Maybe its time for Roy to find a better solution on the 3rd and 4th line-this is where maybe Engvall finds his game.

Bad news Simeyon Varlamov is day to day with a lower body injury; whether he's ready to be back up for Ilya Sorokin tonight remains to be seen. Patrick Roy was straight up with the press when it came to Pierre Engvall. GET THE PUCK TO THE NET, AND STAY THERE. If Engvall wants to get out of the 🐕 🏠 he better work at it. Noah Dobson's another one who needs to get his act together, and Patrick Roy was right to keep him on the bench for the rest of Saturdays game. You're right, Gil. Don't kick a man when he's down, but at the same time, maybe this will teach him a lesson. Cole Eisernman is doing just fine at Boston University. The Islanders are in Montreal tonight. Habs are having their struggles as well. Fans are not so happy with the progress of the team's rebuild. The team's inconsistency and lack of progress have led to growing impatience among the fanbase. Should be an interesting match up tonight. LGI

Good morning team! Gil, OH MY GOODNESS, Varly can not go down for any length of time. It's almost like the Universe is against the Islanders. About your points concerning Dobson, I agree with holding players accountable. I'm glad Roy is doing it. I understand, players should be held accountable when they make mistakes that shouldn't be made at this level. Thank goodness we had seven defensemen on the bench, because with Roy's disciplining of Dobson, it contradicts his plan for cycling the lines often and keeping the players fresh well into the 3rd period. Hopefully he has some more magic he could use to get another 2 points tonight. One game at a time, one period at a time.

To many modern coaches need to bow down to the players. Roy, IMHO, doesn’t. Probably has enough money and certainly has enough skill based on what he did with Islanders last year and in the minors. Engvall can and should rot on the healthy scratch list until he has no value to any hockey team.
