Why bring Jalen back? I’m still in disbelief they did not stop the bleeding early, give Ballard a chance win a game and voila we’re in a bowl. I’ll have a bad taste in my mouth for a long time. My welcome to ks football, I guess. I’m sure Jaylon is better than anyone we would replace him with- but it’s time to move on.
Appears that Liepolds fascination with Daniels is similar to Gundy's with Bowman. Slow or no in game or adjustments. Skipping practices for NIL? Where did Lie-pold get off his coaching train? Both programs losing records.
We were in crisis mode after Illinois and Lance said it himself he doesn't adjust whether he is winning or losing. Most ppl (except Liepold) saw the red flags of not running nor adjusting after the half. Liepold got defensive over being questioned…leave it at that.
Back to Daniels, his downfall started at 2023 media days with his stupidity rediculous highlight necklace (this isn't typical of a Liepold lead team)
We were sold Daniels kool aid starting a year ago that he was progressing and all the way up to August of 2024 he was ready to go-this was a false narrative and Lie-pold fueled the expectations by pouring gas on duping us. Why? Lue-pold needs to answer this but he never will.
We lost the locker room because of the Daniels kool aid.
Daniels was a part of keeping his false narrative and Lance did a great job of keeping it tight lipped how many practices were skipped due to favoring Daniels. Why?
Plus Daniels dancing warming up before Games, arrogance, talk too much. All that went on which we didn't see behind closed doors but finally figuring it out and calling Lance on the carpet it's "how fast can we kick Daniels out the door" … but Lance is loyal similar to Gundy. I'll be shocked if Lance doesn't bring him back and cut ties with Daniels for 2025…
Jalen Daniels will not make an NFL team roster, so he might as well stay another year at KU.
Cool discussion.
I don't expect Grimes to be gone before next football season. I do think that the staff have a lot of work to do to improve the playbook and the playcalling trends. I don't know what the improvements would be, though I am confident in offering that the offensive gameplan and playcalls from '22 and '23 were better than they were in '24.
I'm really glad Leipold's our coach, now; he's clearly the best that Kansas has had in a while, potentially within the history of the program, to this point and when he hangs up the cleats.
