Thank you guys for someone finally pointing out that Logan Stanley is NOT an nhl quality defenceman. Yet the jets continue to play this out to their detriment!. Yes he has the physical size but never uses it to his advantage. He’s a poor skater, makes horrible reads, is poor on the pk, loses men in defensive zone coverage, and ads absolutely nothing on the offensive side. Look at any metric or use the eye test and it’s quite obvious that he can’t play at this level but the jets try to force it. This is what pisses us fans off. The Achilles heel of this team is being exposed(d core). Lacks size and skill in the top 4. Against faster heavier teams they get crushed and it’s been a glaring unaddressed issue for years. Thanks for the content
Arniel looks like he's lost his creativity, early in the year when the Jets were down he shook up the lineup, and tried different things. These days the jets are flat as pancakes and he does nothing.
That cushion that the Jets had that people like to point to, is gone. Minnesota has tied the Jets in points for the division. And Minnesota is getting it done because their top line is performing like their top line at 5-on-5.
It seems negligent to only condition Heinola for 2 games if they were allowed 2 weeks. It’s been chronic mismanagement. The repetitive losing D players on waivers to not retaining D that could have provided an option now. Capobianco, Chisholm,Kovacevic etc. at expense to maintain Stanley on the team.
Their argument towards the end suggest that the Dallas Stars are better at drafting players than the Jets should say a lot about Chevy as a GM
Why cant the Jets grab waiver defence as well?
