LMAO what do they need, The question should be what don't they need.
Buster gets nothing. Fans think of this as magic, best left to proven experts. Buster is a catcher. Not an overnight executive. First timer, way far over his head, first move a costly mistake, chapman, overspend. The only player on the team, and webb, pedestrian but cheap, bailey, rising but no bat. This is NOT a team, the failure is dyed into the optical white wooley.
Since he is replacing a algorithm, not a baseball expert, the bay area expects nothing. His roster is not as good as the rockies. He's in last place, the Sacramento A's, look more like a team with a future, than the decrepit, old, tired, giants.
Matos, luciano, schmitt, bednar, bishop, crawford, etc none are showing. The same with hurlers. NOTHING, using Aldredge, to "not" buy a real first baseman. ?? Really? He's a couple years away, well just wait…..8 years later……unwatchable, for free!! Tix were free in august!! SF can't give away tix……nobody to root for.

This team is terrible and no moves have been made to improve them yet. In fact with the loss of Snell we’re 100x worse off this season than we were last year. After all that I don’t understand how we d a seriously say “let’s reduce payroll”. I guess a rebuild is one thing but don’t get upset when no one shows to games like that
No quick fix. Years of Farhan incompetence will take years to fix. PLAY THE KIDS. At least the kids might have an upside. Better scouting and talent evaluation, and less reliance on analytics fixes the problems, OVER TIME. The Giants are NOT the proverbial " one player away from World Series contention ". They are at least three players away

Oracle Park punishes hitters. Free agents like Soto aren't signing here as free agents. A Soto type player will have be developed from within, or obtained in a trade. Signing pitchers as free agents is a viable strategy,but isn't a complete solution
I keep saying that the Giants would REQUIRE a 50 HR hitter just to break 30 at Oracle Park, it is THAT oppressive. The Lineup needs to be a high OBS and the fastest team in baseball to be consistently putting runs on. I think that the team is going to collapse in 2025. But as long as the Giants have Greg Johnson as chairman of ownership then we are going to be an irrelevant franchise, and Posey can't do anything about that.
