Bjugstad is 6'6/ 210 and is a 2 time 20 goal scorer that is strong defensively. Frost is 6' 190 with no play off experience and a injury history. He will still be an RFA after this season, which is a plus but he is not worth what the Flyers will be asking.
Bjugstad is a hard nosed player

Have you guys ever watched Bjugstad play? He is big, but not physical at all and not very good defensively, take him only if they get him for next to nothing . He didn't play very good or physical for the Oilers, Klim Kostin played good and physical for the Oilers, that playoff year. Im thinkin the Leafs should maybe try get Colton Scissons from Nashville, they might be willing to move some players. Morgan Frost would be a good pick up if he's available.

Fraser Minton can go back to Jr without going thru waivers and that’s why they won’t keep him up. If they keep him one of the other guys will most likely get picked up on waivers.
problem is……who or what goes out….leafs have some real good prospects, thay may well be the ask and its been some time since Leafs had young prospects with real upside…..your not trading Minten, Grebenkin, Cowan……..Robertson, sure move him ( i never liked him,biased opinion) but even then they may want a pick to go with it, but it would be good to add a big center for the 3rd line.
There were rumors about the Leafs targetting Christian Dvorak from the Habs, is that still feasible? Dvorak & Marner had some chemistry together, they played on the same line for the London Knights back in juniors (Matthew Tkachuk was the 3rd member of the line).

For me Tre has two player's that they can afford, first is my choice is Bjugstad, but frost is a good plan B
It's funny that they brought up Meyers, is this a showcase, we know that Tre must be working the phone's and two players on D that could be could be used as a bargaining chip is Benning and Meyers, although Tre didn't want to move this player.

Tre, is going to make the necessary trades to make this team bigger, heavier, and hard to play against, prior to next year's playoffs! Robertson, Holmberg, Dewar, Benoit, and Timmons just a few players who need to be moved? These players are not impactful players, and will not help the Leafs go deep into the playoffs!
A line of Bjugstad, Knies and Grebenkin would be a powerhouse. Domi could go back to Matthews lw.
I like Bjugstad. I live in PHX and have enjoyed his play as a Yote before the move to Utah. He’s solid.
