Drew Stevens is the hero in Heroes Game, sinking last-second FG to beat Nebraska 13-10

Drew Stevens was benched last year for Marshall Meeder, who converted a last-second field goal to beat Nebraska 13-10 in Lincoln. This season, Stevens nailed a 53-yard field goal to beat the Huskers at Kinnick Stadium by the same score.

Iowa was beat in nearly every stat category throughout the game, but the Hawkeyes battled back and got a crucial strip sack fumble late in the fourth quarter to put Iowa in a position to beat Nebraska.

  1. I want to get on board for the ending of the season being satisfying, but this is the last year Iowa had a chance for CFP. Iowa will be fighting for bowl game eligibility for the next 3-5 years.

  2. Several heros, Kaleb and Max and all the guys that worked so hard in that freezing cold. Even the fans that toughed it out.
