The Chicago Blackhawks failed to score until the 3rd period, and fell behind 2-0 after 40 minutes in Toronto Monday night. Auston Matthews opened the scoring for the Maple Leafs, his first goal since returning to the Leafs lineup. Lukas Reichel got the Hawks on the board early in the 3rd period with his third goal of the season, but Chicago allowed Fraser Minten to score just 21 seconds later, a pattern that has been far too common for the Blackhawks recently.

I thought the Hawks showed a good effort tonight. They were playing hard all game and were excellent on the forecheck.

Conner facilitates all the time because no one can handle the puck and set up teammates besides him, the problem is when he passes the puck no one can set him up. He need someone to play give a go with!!!!

That’s a combo of horrible coaching/ lack of any successful in game adjustments and horrible Gm work literally stating his rebuild is a long term plan and then giving 4 mil to 3rd and 4th liners spending almost up to the cap without gaining actual good players.. the gm thinks that working up 3 years to the playoffs spending on a fill in roster while your stars develop in a losing environment😂 is better than actually having them develop 3 years losing in the playoffs while learning how to play gritty winning hockey..
why spend 3 extra years to reach the playoffs and then spend 3 more years developing and learning how to win playoff hockey when you can do it all ar once..
