“Abbotsford Canucks defenceman Mark Friedman has been released from hospital and will continue to be evaluated by physicians, the team said Wednesday.
Friedman was injured during the third period of Abbotsford’s 3-0 win at home Tuesday against the Tucson Roadrunners.
The 28-year-old from Toronto was skating through the slot of the offensive zone when he was hit in the head by Tuscon’s Montana Onyebuchi.
Friedman, who remained on the ice, was taken away on a stretcher and transported to hospital for evaluation.”
