Most of the players are badly underperforming on the Bruins. And they have limited offence to begin with.
It's going to be a challenging year. Neely might want to stock up on the Rolaids and Tums.
I hope this whole thing is an oilers like situation and we com out of these losing streaks stronger than last season, but will Montgomery be the one leading it? 🤔
I think if you spend a ton on lindholm how do u switch him down also lindholm (hampus) has been way better than mcavoy on the pp he shoots more isn’t scared to shoot etc he should be qbacking pp 1
Great move sending Poitras to the 4th line and taking him off the power play. He finally sees the kid is not ready for the top 3 lines.
I bet he's putting 4th line back together in the 2nd period as soon as they'll be losing 0:3
I am still not panicking, it is still early in the season. I think Bruins fans are just spoiled by the past two seasons, and the fast starts then. I have long thought that continually feeding Pasternak, has led to his linemates not taking advantage their own opportunities ! This might be a chance for Lindholm to shine with wings who will share. Being old enough to remember the Bruins of the 50's, and early 60's, where 16/17 wins in a 70 game schedule the norm, that was panicking at it best. Be optimistic, this set-up might just work in some form ! "Go Bruins" !
wow. monty is hearing those boots comin up behind him now. yeah, those line combinations smell like desperation. good. if the Bs organization keeps screwing around for another 10 games, the season will be over. i think the problem is maybe 8 or so cold as ice forwards at one time and a baby huey no check defense. you're always going to have a few cold players, but you need the guidance of a knowledgeable or inspiring coach to snap this many of them out of it. monty has never shown himself to be a fix it guy, an answers guy, an innovator, or an inspiration. he is paul maurice, an nhl mc coach, have suit will travel, and maybe if he coaches for another 25 years he'll get another great team dropped in his lap and he'll win a cup. but this guy can't get through this week with this team. bon soir, monty, we barely knew ye !
poitras in my opinion has been a turnover machine. lots of mistakes my friend
I don't see how mixing up the line will produce goals! We overachieved last year.. now the scales are balancing.. We needed to acquire a goal scorer. What did the B's do? Overpay for players past their prime and acquired an overpriced goalie. Bad decisions and poor player development is the issue.
Funny that "spreading the talent" means breaking up the 4th line and dotting them through the lineup. This team has a multitude of problems. In order:
1) Marchand is overused. He's a shell of himself. He does not deserve PP1 time. Poitras needs to be put with more skill guys.
2) Culture. The soft BS of inclusivity and lovey-dovey team antics has gotten us nowhere. We need practice fights. We need guys dying for icetime.
3) Bad contracts. We overpay mid-tier guys too frequently, leaving us with limited skill yet still pressing the cap.

I like Jim, He's shown he's a good coach. If we are honest it could be some players with attitude…… just sayin'

Hampus has yet to win a puck battle. He's playing non contact hockey and is the only one. #27 has zero balls and unless I'm alone I think there's lots of players to blame for the way the whole lot is playing but hes without a doubt the cause of so many turnovers. I absolutely can't stand watching how utterly weak his game is

I would like to see if bruins could convince Julien to come back.. I think he might be able to make something out of nothing like he did with 2011.

End of second and it’s a disaster. 1) this coach is clueless and it was evident since his first playoff run 2) we dont have the players. We have a bunch of big slow average players with low sports iq and they ain’t gonna get better. Get rid of Freddie, zacha, Coyle and Geeke and bring up some young guys and work towards the future.

So now that we’ve tried everything and everyone together that we can, let’s put them in 4 lines and leave it and make some chemistry. They aren’t playing well anyway so leave it!

Bruins lines have been changed so much how can anyone be comfortable with anything. Lindholm/Zadorov have been horrible addictions. I don’t see a way out of this. Firing Montgomery isn’t the answer, but will be the first move unfortunately.
