  1. It's been hard not to be excited the way they've started to play increasingly this year. Hopefully the keep it up and the results start to show.

  2. I'm a Sens fan and agree that they are playing really well for the most part this year. That being said, they still have to learn how to close out games when they have the lead. The goaltending has been inconsistent, but I'm confident that things will settle down and Forsberg and Ullmark will be a solid duo (3 shutouts already between them). With several new additions and a new head coach, they are still trying to dial it in. They are right in the mix in a very competitive division and I think they will be fighting for a playoff spot down the stretch this season. Should be fun! Go Sens Go! Cheers

  3. Sens for the cup, I don't know if this level of click bait can be reported but C'MON you can do way better than that for views.

  4. Hit the nail the head with your suggestion that playing Carolina in Carolina will be an important litmus test for the Sens. Why?
    1. Ottawa has been brutal in Carolina over the past 10+ years.
    2. Ottawa has been brutal on the road in previous years.
    3. As a young and rebuilding team Ottawa has often been immature mentally, typically following an emotional loss (in this case vs. Philly) with multi-games of poor play thereafter, thereby translating into a long losing streak.

So is there anything positive to look forward to? Well, the process of good play including good team defensive play has been prevalent for the past 3 games in a very solid way. Lets see if they can continue that (in some fashion at least) against Carolina. The main point is this is the biggest test for them to-date in this young season.

  5. 3 losses this year that should’ve been wins. Imagine where we’d be with those W’s.
I have faith in the team. But these next 3 games are HUGE

  6. I’m a sens fan l think tune senators will just about make to the playoffs and l agree they been playing really good this

  7. Sanderson had to play with Hammer when Zub was out. Now that Zub is back, expect Sanderson to get back to his normal numbers. Getting Perron back is also going to help. Ullmark had, 2 bad games. It's not fair to look at save percentage with him because the Senators are not giving up many shots and the ones they do, are more high danger chance. Look at the Boston game, the entire third Boston didn't get a shot.

The next 5 games will tell everyone if the Senators are for real or not. They are playing Carolina, Edmonton, Vegas, Vancouver and Calgary. If they come out of that with a winning record, expect them to maintain their current pace.

  8. They still need to get comfortable with being a good team. Should definitely have a better record than they do though.

  9. Amazing possession game which leads to goalies getting cold and letting in the 1st or 2 quick goals.

They control play so well but defensive breakdowns lead to goals so often.

  10. I think the odds are right. And as a Sens fan I hate to see that the Sens actually have a chance at the cup however if you look beyond, Anything is possible with the roster they have. They need to learn how to shut down special teams and hold leads. If they can somehow learn to manage that, We are cup champions indeed. Ullmark has always had rough starts, You just wait when he has had it. He is going to make it look impossible to get scored on.

  11. Senators get better goaltending, and they're as good as anybody. Outshot Rangers like 41-18 in NYC. They beat the Laughs 3-0, Toronto lokked like peewee's. I know its frustrating for you to be a Habbie fan(they suck)…… U dont have to shoot other teams down.

  12. While I’m cautiously optimistic as a fan, the lack of actually getting wins and closing out games should be a concern still. Also the play of ullmark has been really uneven. They definitely have a playoff roster Imo
