  1. TOP 6 my ASS!! How is Stanley a defenseman if he can't even defend? He takes more penalties more than he skates?! Like come on. Winnipeg is done with this guy. Waste of space on the ice!

  2. Stans is a useless bag of bricks that doesnt move and has zero IQ. Arnie needs to heed the comments by many many fans who are no dummies.

  3. The Jets' coaching staff are old-school size-queens. Apparently Josh Morrissey isn't a huge hint, for some reason.

  4. As fans we all tend to talk out of our asses with what coaches should do but holy shit man. Big stan must have some blackmail on chevy or something. unreal how genuine depth has been traded for this pylon. Stanley could never hold a candle to tyler myers.

  5. I sure hope when Samberg gets back that we play Fleury, Ville or Coghlan. This bad play from Stanley makes me miss Samberg so much more

  6. Every game I see his name in the pregame line up I swear so loud at the tv. I legit have so much frustration that his name is talk about 30 mins when he does nothing besides take the team worst, but kevin sawyer would make you think he iw connor mcdavid

  7. In elite-level professional sports, any slight advantage or disadvantage is magnified. He doesn't give us any advantages with his play style. His size is his only asset. He's dumb, lazy, slow, throws the puck away every time in the O-zone, and can't out-skill nor out-skate anyone and lacks discipline as evidenced last night.

His size means nothing if he doesn't throw his weight around like Buff did. Buff actually had some silky mitts and had deceptively high hockey IQ unlike you-know-who.

It's no coincidence we drafted Stanley when we did. Buff had his foot and sore ankle out the door at the time.

They want him to be Buff, unfortunately he's not and never will be.

  8. Maya Angelou – "When someone shows you who they are, believe them! I like Stanley, but he has been showing who he his. This is NHL no more chances.

  9. I'm tired of Stanley we traded up to get him and gave a 2nd for a 3rd.

    Jets need a dman Murphy,Sanheim,Provorov,Ristolainen,Romanov,Pulock,Savard,Anderson,Weegar,Carlo,Byram,Parayko.

  10. the guy fuckin sucks and what sucks even more is the organization having a full strength hard-on for the guy despite his horrendous play. like what does he have on the GM or the owner, seems like he knows some secret or has a picture of someone cheating and is using blackmail to stay on the team. because nothing else really makes sense. anything else is just our team being stupid. straight-up stupid

  11. But he needs to be in the Jets top 6, cuz god forbid Chevy is wrong on a 1st round draft pick lol

  12. Give him to the canucks, they seem to take nobodies (brannstrom and hronek) and turn them around quickly

  13. Absolutely zero reason this guy should be in the lineup over Ville. Chisholm and kovacevic would have been great depth as well

  14. 1000 percent..Stanley is so bad Arneil finally realized in the third that you couldn’t put him on the ice..I believe he had 2 short shifts..I don’t know what his ice time was but I bet it was about the same as his penalty minutes..trade him for a bag of pucks

  15. The Jets, as much as against Dallas Stars, killed every penalty, took so many that would end up killing whatever momentum those Jets might’ve built up towards scoring at least two goals. Stanley took 3, and that is a major problem on a team that’s already lost three straight games, all in regulation, and only scored a single goal in Dallas last weekend.

One may look at Stanley’s point total this season and think that getting some points isn’t such a bad thing even with just three (one of them a goal) over 13 regular-season games from October, but with his +6 pretty impressive.

So why all the hate for Stanley? I haven’t watched every Jets game this season although because I follow all of Canada‘s NBA (Raptors), NBA G League (Raptors 905, based in Mississauga, to the west of Toronto) and NHL teams, I watch as many games that feature those teams as I have the stamina to do. As much a hot start the Jets got off to, they’ve cooled off a bit, but still have a respectable 10-point lead over the Avs for a top-three Central-Division spot.

Should the Jets put Stanley on waivers, trade him or buy out what remains, after this season, of his two-season US$2.5-million contract? According to ESPN Stanley has this regular season taken 19 penalty minutes (PIMs), with four, nine and six respective ones in October, November, and so far this month. As impressive as his plus-minus has been, he took, in that weekend game against Dallas Stars, more PIMs than in any non-preseason game from October, has already taken more this month than in all of October and has taken just 3 fewer PIMs this month than he did last. Something is wrong with him, and I have to wonder if it’s his speed. Just as players can draw penalties with their speed, penalties can be assessed against players because they are a step slower than the players they are given responsibility for covering. taking too many penalties can cost 18 a game, and doing so, despite not having allowed a goal on the PK, a lot of momentum away from the jacks they could’ve used to make that game closer against the Dallas Stars than would end up happening, particularly after taking into account a late-game empty-net goal.

  16. Cheveldayoff is a fucking moron. Squandering draft picks on useless trades and useless prospects, Stanley, Demelo, Heinola, Samberg, Appleton, Barron, are all trash and belong in the AHL maybe.

  17. I think stanley isnt an 8th defensemen on the sharks. Hes a bottom 6 wildcard or maybe top 4 for lower rank teams. But for us definitely 8. We cant be waiting much longer for him to find his game. Its either be a wrecking ball or get faster and actually be decent at your FUCKING JOB.

  18. I get the logic of choosing size against a heavy team like Dallas but clearly it blew up in his face and he doubled down post game, head scratcher for sure. Chevy should be calling around to see if he can get anything for him

  19. I agree, but you need to make this video when you're less drunk/sad/hungover/sexually frustrated/whatever is wrong with you in this one. Pathetic, whiny video.

  20. Nailed it, my jaw dropped when arnie made that comment the other night about him needing to be in the top 6! At what point do Jets fans just say
.enough!?

  21. Send him to the minors!! I have to wonder if anyone would even take him off waivers. đŸ€”đŸ€”đŸ€”đŸ€”

  22. You guys should have seen Jets 1.0. They would waste a first round pick of SERGEI BAUTIN, who no one in the NHL even heard of. Then they would pair him with IGOR ULANOV, who was almost as horrible. One game, my buddy found me at the arena from 4 sections over, because I was laying into big Sergei. 😅 So these clowns would be responsible for losing the first 3 playoff games, then they would put in Mike Lalor, ( who wasn’t sensational, but solid, and at least Sergei was off the ice etc) win 2, but lose the 4th and final. (Jets coaches would even play them on the penalty kill. So it was like a 5 on 2!!) When Sergei got traded to Detroit, he tested the worst in the WHOLE ORGANIZATION. That means equipment staff, front office etc. He never played another game in the NHL. I was the ONLY guy who stood up at a year end meet and greet, and actually addressed all these issues. The coach John Paddock gave me the same lip service we get today. (It was amusing watching all the fans turn around and look at me while I was ripping into the coach tho)
But everyone was saying “We will be better next year.” Etc. This has been going on for 40++ years.
