  1. Nobody gives a fuck what percentage of viewers are subscribed or not. Also, people know how YouTube works. If they like your shit, they’ll subscribe. I fucking hate how YouTubers pause their videos for this stupid shit. Just stick to hockey for fuck sake.

  2. There is literally nothing wrong with him. If I had to say it was anything. I'd say its Vancouver that just finds any way to demonize a player. For years people thought Boeser was a problem. He was going through his father dying while he played up north of the border.

  3. MONEY…some rise to the occasion once they get the big contract, and many coasts as they "don't need to bust their balls anymore!"
Ovechkin and Crosbie are bonafide winners who hate losing.
Once they get to the big show, they realize it's a grind after a while…

  4. I think there are lots of facets to his declined performance. 1. Knee injury could have been worse than it was entailed and he played like that which caused long term problems. 2 the system tochett has doesn’t work with petey, and his linemates he meshed with got traded (kuz) or he doesn’t get to play with them anymore (boeser/hoglander). Lastly he could have lost confidence in himself,After all its frustrating to get in a rut where you don’t see to get out of. No one is more disappointed in his performance than himself. I think that large contract really has nothing to do with to tbh. Tocchet doesnt seem to like hoglander and petey isn’t especially receptive to his coaching style.

  5. rumours for a few years now is he smokes pot and is addicted to gaming. This can seriously mess with someone's motivation & drive..experienced it myself and seen others suffer also.
it makes sense if you watch his behaviour….when he misses a shot or pass, he sulks and drops his shoulders like a spoiled little CHILD…it's f'in pathetic to watch.
Furthermore….when you're acting like a child, your teammates start to lose respect for you , and he could be sensing this, further adding to his lack of confidence and fragile psyche.
This kid isn't hurt…he's mentally fked right now..and he can't get out of it

  6. he quite possibly did more damage by not saying anything and playing with the injury. that is on him. if he thought he was taking the high road by doing this he must now realize he made a poor decision. he should sit out no matter how long it takes and come back when he can play.

  7. Honestly 3 weeks of full time rest, followed by some physical therapy for a month or two, could save his long term longevity.

  8. What didn’t understand and still don’t is why tf they never sat petey when the injury first occurred or at least before the playoffs? Tendinitis is no joke of an injury, if you don’t rest it won’t get better and probably worse. Besides competing for 1st in the division, the Canucks were in a great spot. No reason to not sat petey. The Canucks would have probably won against Nashville in 5 rather than 6 and would have beaten Edmonton if petey was at least close to a 100%. The timing of signing the extension and then shortly after getting the injury. Could have signed him to a bit cheaper contract. Great video though

  9. https://youtu.be/uI75Vi7Ofzs?si=1yGA82Cli51au6Iu is this the injury in question or? I also think this is the reason why he hasn't playing well. I posted this on the Canucks Reddit but they all disagreed with me like usual cause they can't accept that this might be it. If someone slashed you in the knee like that a few times, that injury can linger if you don't sit down and rest it up. He plays timid against Philly too. Do you think other teams have seen this and know about it? They guard him alot and not even worried about the play.

  10. Petey is going to be just fine. There is something wrong with him right now but he will bounce back. He's a really good player. And I'm an Oilers fan

  11. I've been dealing with jumper's knee since february and even though I did rehab during summer it's still not 100%.
The more you push through the worse it gets to the point where just walking up stairs becomes an issue. It makes me doubt he'll be able to recover as the season goes along, I wouldn't be surprised if it got worse. It's just the kind of thing where you have to avoid putting any strain on it for a long time for it to recover.

If he's been playing in the god damn NHL through that then I'm honestly surprised he could even skate by the time the playoffs came around.

  12. It’s his shoulder left shoulder that’s why is blistering slap shot is not being used. You’ll know he has healed when that returned. Any joint needs exercise to get blood flow to the joint. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint and rotary movements are necessary to have the healing power of blood get there.

  13. He plays like he’s got girl problems or someone’s threatening his family. He’s so distracted. There’s something serious.

  14. If the injury is making him almost invisible, he should be sitting out. If hes on the ice and its making it so that the team is basically playing 5 on 4 hockey , its going to burn everyone else out. Im not trying to sound critical , I love the Nucks and I hope he gets back to 100% soon, but maybe its for the best for everyone , not just him? … Im curious to know if there is an isolated play that caused the injury and why the footage hasnt been seen or discussed. Not that examining a piece or two of footage will do much other than bring out all of the Youtube doctors , but it would be something that I think might settle people down a bit. We have heard him mention it , but there hasnt been a lot of questions answered in regards to it. I know its not the play to disclose an injury during a heater run like they had last year in an effort to not allow other teams to exploit it , but its kinda out in the open now. So maybe a bit more info would cool down the haters and critics a bit.

  15. Peteys play last game vs Anaheim was great. He was skating, had a few chances and set up some plays. If he continues everything will work out fine.

People used to hate the Sedin contract with their slow start labelling them as too soft

  16. I think a lot of it has to do with his shifted focus on being better defensively. He was always a person who would practice longer than anyone else, but his practicing has been more defensive positioning, instead of honing in his shot. In the last couple of weeks, he's shifted back to practicing his shot, and I think we'll see more offensive production from him.

  17. Carpal tunnel syndrome! Remember when P Laine ripped EP40 about having CTS a few years back. He implied that he got it from playing to many videos games. It would explain the reduced grip strength and degraded stick handling. His proproception sucks lately.

  18. Dealing with chronic constipation is NO laughing matter. Swedes live in a very cold country where they don't get much roughage in the winter – A Viking through and through, Petey has a hard time making a poopie in the winter months, and this obviously has an effect on his game. Feed him prunes!

  19. I like elias, i really do. But i think he is rich and knows he doesn't have to go hard anymore because he is paid either way. Hopefully that is not the case and he bounces back though.

  20. Tkachuck, last year. "Hes back from the broken sternum and ready to go" no, no he wasn't, he wasn't himself for months it was very noticable. These injuries take awhile to heal and i bet Pettersson is just playing through it with pain management

  21. he might need to take time off because if he starts to temper his knee more when he starts producing more it will just bite him in the ass with a worse injury.

  22. New subscriber here. Like the content. Little til though. You should show clips of Pettersson before and after the injury to illustrate the point. Or with the Zegras video you could show clips of his defensive miscues.

  23. I don't believe the injury. The Canucks would have put him on IR and into rehab. You spend that much money on him, you do what needs to be done to repair. It just doesn't add up.
I personally don't think he is adjusting to the Tochett systems.

  24. This reminds me of Markelle Fultz, a first overall pick NBA player that suffered a shoulder injury, and basically forgot how to play Basketball.

  25. The simple wind of a player knocks Bambi off his skates. His skating is not NHL level , not even close, his one trick pony slot shot has been figured out by the entire league. He's just simply not that good and once again the Canucks will end up eating another overpriced contact. This on top of Demko's multiple injuries and we have a recipe for disaster and we have at least five more years of obscurity due to cap issues. Nobody in this day and age should sign anybody for more than three years. It's just foolish to assume a player will be healthy and want to stay on one team longer than that.

  26. I don’t get why they resigned him trade him for one of the Hughes brothers or trade him for a top pick or one of the Hughes brothers or even bedard

  27. So glad I saw this video. Someone in my league has been trying to trade Petterson away and I was considering accepting a trade. I originally thought that he was just going through a slow start but did not realize that this could be something that follows him for the rest of the season.
