There must be something done about this so many players getting injured maybe Elon Musk can invent something for softer boards that give when the players go down sliding into the boards there going anywhere from 10-20 mph on impact

There is no flex on the lower boards. The higher up you go, they tend to give a bit, not down at ice level. It's like running into a brick wall.
So dangerous at the start of a period on fresh ice.
