  1. I thought you were not allowed to consume hog meat that had not been farmed because they might contain some kind of virus… Great that they are being consumed but probably have to be consuming more to keep the population down

  2. Very informative. Reading the comments reminded me of a restaurant in Nor. Cal. which served wild boar ravioli.

  3. 25 diseases known in wild boar, 24 of which are transmissible to humans. I would be careful with that stuff. Dog food, alligator bait, chicken feed are safer uses.

  4. I will show my ignorance; do you treat bores and sows differently? I thought you needed a lot of salt.

  5. With how many of these things you can get in one trap, you and they boys can fill your freezers and give a bunch to the local soul kitchen. Sucks Kentucky banned hunting.

  6. NO WAY would I eat a feral hog. God only knows what they have been eating and also what is probably eating them. Hard pass on Porky and Petunia. Let the buzzards have 'em.

  7. So, when the ice melts by morning, you just leave it in the lukewarm water for 6.5 days? Or do you remove and re-ice the cooler every day?

  8. A Lion would look at that Hog and think, Lunch. I would have to agree with the Lion.

  9. You didn't show how you field dressed and gutted the wild boar. Also did you put meat in salt water or water with vinegar to kill the gamey test of the meat?

  10. It blows my mind that people think wild animals are not good to eat. What the hell do people think humans did before farms and processing plants? Lol

  11. Does the wild hog meat taste the same as the regular pork meat bought at the supermarkets? Just a curious city grandma ๐Ÿ‘ต here. My step-father used to go deer hunting once a year and skin the deer at the house. We (kids) had to eat deer meat for a whole year ๐Ÿ˜. I never got used to the โ€œgameyโ€ taste. However, in my neck of the woods, we eat โ€œmenudoโ€, a savory and spicy stew made out of beef tripe. LOL ๐Ÿ˜† go figure.

  12. Very interesting. Thanks for making this video. I'm going to be "the one" and ask/comment that you obviously have to replenish the ice & drian it off. Correct?

  13. Thanks. Good instruction, best instruction. The young man is there to listen, to see, to do.

  14. Its eaten all the time in france in
the south especially, and it tasts
    great with sone grated trouffle
    on it. R

  15. Yee Haw! If the US ever goes to shit the southern boys are the only Americans that will survive. God bless the south and yaโ€™ll.

  16. Wild hogs do a lot of damage and are tough, smart animals. The fact that you use the meat is good in itself. Be careful, they can turn on you. One more thing; cook the meat well!
