The Nashville Predators made one of the laziest mental mistakes in hockey that ended up in a penalty. They didn’t start their starting line-up. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

I was sure I’d seen that penalty before, and when you said it happened in a blues-oilers game that confirmed it- I try to watch every oilers game so that’s probably when I saw it.
Both Biz and Lundquist in between periods related their own stories about the same thing happening. Biz said a guy on their team got called up, took warmies and then found out nobody added him to the lineup card so he had to sit out his first ever NHL game. Biz said he felt horrible for the guy because he never got called back up again. Just brutal. Henrik said one time it was his fault that he wasn't paying attention when coach gave him the lineup card and forgot to call someone out. Someone else went on for the face off and they got called. Everybody made the joke, "And that was the last time you got to call the lineup out – right?"
Last year during the ECHL playoffs, the Norfolk Admirals were issued a bench minor for an incorrect lineup card. They dressed a player that Coach Jeff Carr had accidentally omitted from the card, forcing them to play the entire game a man down.
Sucks that we gave Sprong away, he had serious promise on the Canucks, but the Coaching didn't trust him to lead the defense with Boeser out from that NASTY LA Kings game. I just pray to GOD we get maybe someone like Montour on a Discount. Bring the Canada boy home!!!

Fun fact, Boston and Nashville have never made a trade with each other in the NHL. Doubt they make one anytime soon. I've always wondered why.

I saw this in late 2002 or early 2003. Oilers called Dallas Stars for it and then proceeded to lose the game.
