Pacioretty hit on Peeke – Tough Call Recommendation

Max Pacioretty hit Andrew Peeke hard in the corner, driving his head into the glass. It was called a major for review and then reduced to…nothing. No penalty at all. I think he left his feet too significantly to let it go.

  1. Max is hammering people this season. Even Boston's announcers didn't think it was a penalty.

  2. Under NHL rules, clean hit. As someone who doesn't want to see players get hurt, I wish this was discouraged in a meaningful way. The hit still would have been an absolute train without the launch. Just unnecessary.

  3. The officials saw everything we saw & ruled no penalty. His right foot was off the ice at contact, the left foot didn't come off the ice until contact. There's no suspension warranted. Clean hit imo & the refs saw it the same way.

  4. Funny how some are calling this a charge, yet when Rempe did the exact hit, except both feet came up before making contact, that was deemed a clean hit. Most "fans" are not actual fans. They're haters that need attention. Real fans call it out regardless and don't "hate" other teams. You can have a rival team without hate. Amazing how so few know that

  5. Foot left the ice as he was hitting the player. You said yourself this is a legal check according to the NHL. FIRST time I have disagreed with your view but this is NOT evan close. No call, no penalty. They got it right.

  6. Where do you see his head slammed into the boards his helmet barely hits the glass. Why do we not see any of the shit that 63 does every game to players a flying head lock and dragging a player to the ice is a legal hockey play well we have seen for years it is for #63.

  7. I'm not sure you can prove his toe isn't on the ice at the initial point of contact. The only reason it's a convo, is because he does a good job of adjusting to not get him from behind. I think that toe is still touching ice though

  8. Nahh, bruins player bent over. And that was hardley a "launch" by any standards. That was shoulder to shoulder contact.
Cant suspended on the outcome of a hit. Just cause he was hurt doesnt mean he hit him "excessively hard"
Im the farthest from a leafs fan, i cant stand em but cmon that wasnt even worth a penalty let alone a suspension. This is a bad take

  9. It's a clean hit. He hit through the ribs, one foot came off the ice and not both BUT both feet were on the ice at the point of contact. It's not pretty, but it's clean

  10. Parros must have been torn. He played with Pacioretty in Montreal. But it's the Leafs. But it's against the Bruins. What would Colin Campbell do?

  11. It's definitely a hockey play. His left foot only comes off the ice as he's making contact and driving through the check. No penalty is the correct call.

  12. Seen way way worse around the league and they don’t even get a 2 minute penalty. Glad the Leafs are actually playing a more rugged style and must get even tougher or they will be cannon fodder for Florida, Boston or TB in the 1st round.

  13. Can you make a vid on that 4th goal by the Avalanche in tonight's game of Hurricanes vs Avs?

McKinnen drags Spencer martin out of the crease with his legs and they said no interference
