  1. Inconsistency has defined that portion of this Preds' season after having opened the regular season with five straight losses, all in regulation.

  2. What I’ve “learned” so far this season is that Trotz is incompetent at his job. He has created a giant mess.

  3. Love the Preds, but watching and going to games is getting tough. No one seems to be on the same page and it comes down to leadership and accountability. I don’t mind losing but we look absolutely abysmal out there, hope we can pull it together they seem like a good group of people that want to win, the whole situation is baffling.

  4. Between 2013 and 2020, we do not have a single remaining 1st round drafted player despite drafting 6 players. Are they late first rounders you ask? Nope. Not even close. We had a 4th overall, and a few other mid to early draft picks too. The organization needs an 8.0 earthquake level shake up.

  5. Emma said “not all 1st round picks are created equal.”

Well, not all picks are DEVELOPED equal either

  6. The only lesson we learn from this is that you should never hope for success. No hope, no Disappointment…. We are atleast 10 years away from being a competetive team again.

  7. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this is why I was never a Poile guy. As just a fan, he seemed to be ok with being in that "mushy middle" as you guys call it. Trotz feels like he's really trying to put together a winner and it just isn't happening. This season might be lost, but it also might be a giant training camp that last an entire season. Either way, I don't want Trotz to go out and get a Center that is past his prime. Draft a new kid or grad a young guy that has a high ceiling.

  8. Don’t try to take out Paul Cotter’s knees next time and Timo wouldn’t stick up for his teammates. Plus I don’t think the cross check was meant for the face. Your player protected himself and the stick rode up and got the face. Unfortunate but yall didn’t do anything on the 5 min pp.

    Gg. See ya down there.

  9. Zach is an agitator he drew a 5 min powerplay , and Nashville did nothing with it . Zach was messing with Cotter earlier , his job is to get underneath players skin so he needs to learn to roll with the punches better.

  10. If the fans openly constantly boo the team at home games, GMs usually to save the coach's career the gm has to fire the coach.. Also if the team totally tunes out the coach you are left with few alternatives.

  11. You guys are just repeating yourself. They keep losing then you guys just repeat what you said from the last game. It’s just Groundhog Day. Over and over and over again. Just replay this video for the next 10 games and you guys go to Florida for 2 weeks.

  12. I want to believe that Trotz is trying to clear out Poile's choices that he doesn't agree with. He made a lot of moves during the offseason combined now with these other moves, clearing the way for other talent. I'm a bit concerned that what has been built isn't working for Burnette's system. I'm not at the point for calling for someone's job, but unless we see additional moves to improve then it feels like there has to be blame pointed somewhere. 500-ish hockey after the first 5 games just isn't going to cut it.

  13. So I am a Devils fan and I went to this game. I wanted it to be a good game so badly and it just looked like the Preds have just given up on the season. It was like watching an NHL squad play a pee wee team and it was so unfortunate cause I was looking forward to seeing the Preds play and be good. Just so disappointing honestly.

  14. Kinda should mention what Zach was doing the entire game and shouldn't be shocked he eventually got clocked. Was it dirty, yes. Was he asking for it, also yes.

  15. This is who they are. Last year’s point streak was semi fluky and gave fans some false hope heading into the season.

  16. Jersey is fine. They will be like they have been over the past few years. Expected to be really good and just slowly fade away. Probably start getting more and more injuries like just about every year and then if they make the playoffs get bounced early. I feel bad for Nashville since they decided to go for it by picking up several good players but they just don't seem to gel which is more important than just having high skill.

  17. Let's be honest. Barry Trotz was dealt a good hand by Poile – lots of draft picks, good prospects and tons of cap space. He blew it.
Year one was a bit misleading because Nyquist and O'Reilly had exceptional seasons, but that dead cat bounce misled him enough to blow the cap space on expensive veterans on the verge of decline. His puzzling decision to give away a productive Duchene while still having to pay him was a sign of bad things to come. Next, Trotz committed to Saros instead of cashing in on his value, but also signed Wedgewood, upsetting the best goaltending prospect outside the NHL Yaroslav Askarov to the point that he had to trade what may turn out to be a future Vezina contender who is only 22. Columbus was thrilled to pick up Dante Fabbro for nothing – and he's playing well on their top D pairing. Now he's gift wrapped young Tomasino, who has great speed and skill but was continually buried in the lineup by Trotz' coach Brunette. Now Evangelista is losing his confidence. Everything is turning to dust before our eyes, and the team will be handcuffed for years with these contracts for one of the oldest teams in the league. I've not been impressed by Stamkos beyond his power play one-timer. Consider that Columbus got a decent center in Monahan much cheaper while Trotz still doesn't have a decent second line center. Sissons is ok as a defensive center, but Novak is regressing as Brunette struggles to find line combinations that work. It's a disaster, and Trotz has to take the responsibility. Some say Trotz should forge ahead and acquire a bonafide second line center, but there's not enough cap space for that. My suggestion is to start dumping contracts ASAP and focus on a true rebuild. I'm worried Trotz will squander draft picks to unload the bad contracts, leaving the team with nothing. The next few years are going to be painful for Preds fans as they're accustomed to being in playoff contention year after year.

  18. Yaroslav Askarov made the right decision for himself. Signing Wedgewood instead of giving the kid a shot was an insult. Watch him lead the Sharks to contention for the next decade. Barry Trotz is lovable, but should be fired. Also, I wasn't thrilled on July 1st. Tampa and Vegas got rid of their ageing stars for a reason.

  19. Ya,fire the coach, because your high salary, has beens, can’t carry the weight any more!Signing, these free agents usually never works out!Fact!Man,I thought they were StanleyCups, contenders! My Lord,as the lady said no fight, that is Discusting, with all the money these guys make,by the grace of God,they all should go down fighting!Especially those high wallet guys!Shame on them!

  20. Timo is not a dirty player. It was a knee jerk reaction and wasn’t intended to hit him in the face. We’re not Rags ( I.e. Trouba/Rempe) Unfortunately we get bullied all the time and it’s time the Devils stop taking crap.

  21. What do you expect these ladies to say! There is no light at the end of the tunnel, after they beat the Jets,I thought here they come! But this could be a treacherous Christmas for Hackey fans in Nashville! But I do remember as a old,old old hockey fan from Chicago, when there were more Black Hawk sweaters in your arena, then predetors sweater! So what did you guys do,you made people buy tickets for two games in a row!But during the playoffs, more Black Hawks fans filling your arena then predetors fans! You showed very little class! As a Chicago fan I laughed my head off,to see all those Indian head Sweators!FACT!!!

  22. Barry, just got unlucky, these signings were meant,to make a big splash in the next couple years!I think he is a good hockey guy,but the dice did not roll his way,so far!!!

  23. When are people going to wake up and smell the coffee? Brunette, like Hynes, has no idea how to develop their young players and has no idea on how to coach. From the top down, they need a shakeup but it couldn't be anymore clear Brunette is not coach material and like the others, they have no idea, despite what they preach, about player development either. Tolvanen, Glass, Fabbro, Tomasino, et all, all gone, and now Evangelista is being healthy scratched and has had his ice time reduced significantly when he is in the lineup. I bet if the other players could talk openly, they'd share the same sentiments. Not hard to tell the system (Brunette's) isn't working. Regardless, I could go on here but I don't have the gumption any longer but, I will say, I couldn't be happier for Tomer getting out of that sh*thole and now playing for a team that will develop him properly and give him the ice time he deserves.

  24. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this is why I was never a Poile guy. As just a fan, he seemed to be ok with being in that "mushy middle" as you guys call it. Trotz feels like he's really trying to put together a winner and it just isn't happening.

  25. "Dirty play". lol You cross check a devil from behind, expect to get cross checked in return, harder. L'Heureux learned that the hard way.
