Marner isn’t worth whatever he’ll ask for in his next contract. I hope tree won’t make the mistake of re-signing him at all costs. Let Marner be another team’s problem and use the freed cap space for somebody else.

Most of the Ls for Leafs this season were just a really good performances by the opposing teams. This one should have been a W for Leafs.

Marner played well. Paranko reminded me why Rielly shouldn't be a 7.5m defenceman. Rielly doesn't slap a puck and his wrist shots are aimed for goals not rebounds. Enough is enough of this crap.

Couple of posts, a couple of crazy bounces for the opposing team. I think this game was a bit of good fortune for the Blues. I'm not saying they got dominated, as I said, it wass very close. But puck luck is real, and without it, this game goes to OT or ends with a regulation loss for St. Louis. Could be my cope coming in, I dunno. I think they're fair points, at the very least. Leafs continue to be very inconsistent. No difference so far from last year's team
Marner delivers 6 shots, scores a goal, spent over 20m on the ice and 2.5 min SH and still, some give him grief! What did the Faux Captain do? It's very clear to me that this Franchise needs an overhaul. ShanaPLAN Shanahan is USELESS! His choice for GM was bizarre at best. This team simply doesn't have the horses to compete for the Prize. The Coach last year was a "problem" yet NJD is playing outstanding hockey with Keefe behind the bench. Did Keefe suddenly learn how to Coach? The GM believed a tougher Coach was necessary, hired a "discipline" guy… but named Mathews Captain??? It should be a surprise to no one, the Leafs are struggling.
Even with this loss Leafs remain mathematically in playoff contention…Anything is possible!
9:05 ok so Nylander gets muscled out of the puck fairly easily, quick flip pass and now we have Marner doing his best to keep the puck out of the empty net. And then there's Matthew's doing another piss poor effort to backcheck. Instead of staying with the open man he flops down trying to poke check and 5 seconds later he finally picks himself up out of the corner while the puck is entering the net.. smh

Start healthy scratching Marner, Nylander, and Matthews! Do it until they ASK for a trade, this team needs to go in a different direction, the Marner, Nylander, and Matthews era is DEAD. A no move contract goes both ways, for it to be fair the players needs to play like a star!! The Leafs so called stars have mentally and physically checked out.

10 games in… goaltending will be a mega problem for the Leafs all year….none can carry them to a cup final. Rielly continues his hideous defensive work….caught up ice way too often….very costly. The Leafs as a team lost just about every physical confrontation, not to mention the fights that, as you saw, were terribly one-sided losses.

These Refs are corrupt. No penalty for Suter crosscheck on Marner (after whistle, and no puck). Either give penalty to both or neither. Absolutely criminal Refs.
