Recap: San Diego Gulls vs Tucson Roadrunners, 11.30

The Tucson Roadrunners shut out the San Diego Gulls 3-0 in a disciplined performance on Saturday night. Tucson struck early in the first period with Lleyton Moore’s first professional goal, assisted by Aku Räty. After a scoreless second, Travis Barron added an insurance goal in the third with help from Curtis Douglas and Moore. Later, Kailer Yamamoto capitalized on a power play to seal the win. Tucson’s defense held firm, allowing only 22 shots on goal, all stopped by goaltender Matthew Villalta. The Gulls couldn’t convert their opportunities, including two power-play chances.

  1. Gulls have suddenly become worse than the Ducks. Surprised with all the young talent we have down there in SD. At least the Tulsa Oilers (ECHL) are playing good

  2. 6 losses in a row. Another awful season with an awful team. Snooze. Good luck getting people in seats playing like this lol
