Ovi's enthusiasm is infectious. He's got a good team, comparable to the 2018 team that won the cup, a great mix of youth and vets, this all leads to a potential deep cup run this year. All Caps fans should feel excited at what the future holds with players like McMichael and Protas, Lapierre, Chychrun. If they are smart, they'll keep developing, signing the right vets and complimentary players to surround the new core.

That second goal by the Caps was all effort by Storme, he ripped the opposite off and made that beautiful pass to Chychrun.

Canucks fan here. A week ago i chimed in on a YT channel upload asking us to predict if OV would break the record this year or next. I gave what I thought was a measured and intelligent response.
And then that big Gorilla goes and does something like this to make me look like a bigger idiot than I already am. After last season, I had my doubts he'd ever break the record, now, those doubts are significantly less present. Unbelievable! Liked OV ever since seeing TV ads with Crosby, the man has a sense of humor and that's important to me. Hope he does it this season. 🍻
Ovechkin will always be selfish and take a bad shot over making the pass for a great shot. Never been a fan of his selfish play. I hope he comes up short of the record!
