  1. The refs really suck lately in the NHL, they are missing a lot of flagrant penalties that end up ending in a team loosing because of that, when is the NHL going to wake up??

  2. Who honestly cares if RHP get claimed? is he an NHLer? Sorry but no! Can he help Laval? yes but at the expense of icetime for a younger better prospect… Other than a French player he has little to know value for the Canadiens. Nothing changes when he goes to play in Europe, which is his destiny at best

  3. Phantom penalty on Anderson and how they could find a way to pull an extra 2 out of that brawl is beyond me. Loved Anderson straightening trouba out for that hit on Barron when the game was well out of reach.

  4. Refs are crap. Too many penalties. But Kirby Dach sucks too. Double minor to end the game. They need to limit his icetime until later in the season and no playing time last 5 minutes or so unless he’s playing great.

  5. I have been wanting to write the following for over three weeks, but never did until now. The dynamics remain the same for me but are exacerbated. I would like to see four players traded ASAP, but I will only dwell on two for the purposes of this letter. Before I do so, I would like to mention another theme: Who is Kent Hughes? He has been with our beloved Habs for almost three years now. They have been bottom feeders this whole time including the present time. That is not a good look. He was a player agent before coming here. He was not a GM, coach or player. He does speak French which is job one for this franchise. Some think that he is a great genius, but I've yet to see it. Some think that his trades were successful, but I've yet to figure that one out. Chiarot, Tiffoli, and Lehkonen were great for us and would look good in the bleau, blanc et rouge right about now. So would Romanov. All optimism aside, many of his moves look like losers. Do you really want to endure five years of losing to determine this? Tell me that I'm wrong. Kirby Dach was drafted third overall by the Blackhawks and then was released three years later at 21 years old. Kind of young, no? For a team that was rebuilding? He fits the mould of the most desirable player for any team – a big, skilled centerman who also shoots right. So WTF? Some say that his injuries with the Hawks and the Team Canada junior team before that convinced the Hawks that he was injury prone, but how can that be so in such a small sample size? He can't win face offs. He has been here for a few years and hasn't improved in that department. He is big but doesn't play big. I'd rather have Pezzeta in the line up over him. Here is the reason: He has poor hockey sense. In short, he is a stupid player. I also question his work ethic. If his surgically repaired knee is bothering him, then he shouldn't be playing. It's about the team, not any individual player. Is Hughes a bit like Bob Gainey who insisted on playing a young, experienced goalie, Carey Price, over the superior Huet and Halak (at that time)? The fans are now booing this "rebuilding" team. That's not a good thing. Will Molson do anything to shake up the club that is trending in a wrong direction or is he OK as long as the house is full? Will Gorton not act, lest he lose one of the top picks for the NHL Entry Draft? Drafts are a crap shoot. No guarantees. You won't get the moon for Dach now, but you'll get more than what you'd get three months from now. On the high sticking penalty that hurt the team at the end of the game: He did the deed in the offensive zone behind the net at a crucial time. He's done this before. I played competitive hockey until I was 45 and NEVER did that. Don't make excuses for him. In terms of hockey IQ, he scores a D. I had Guhle as an untouchable a year ago. He MUST be traded sooner than later. Why? Two major concussions, that's why. He had a partial third one earlier this year, but his shoulder and his head hit the ice at about the same time, slightly lessening his third concussion. This kind of injury is the worst of all injuries. He is 22. What does the future auger? You would get good value for him now. Pull the trigger. You may find a sucker to take him. You may not. Woger think?

  6. Slaf is genial passmaker.. why he play with dvorak.. wtf.. why IS newhook in 1st line? Why.. i dont get it

  7. St.Louis has to go, the team playing their ass off & he punishes them by cutting back there ice time… he’s coaching as if there pee.wees… time to get an NHL coach, not a school teacher…..

  8. People need to chill the fuck out. This is just a game. Attacking a player on their social media is unacceptable.

  9. RHP is a fragile player with not enough NHL level hockey IQ. He can be good substitute in case of injuries. Even Roy didn’t convinced me, he’s same level as RHP. Roy will go down to Laval upon Laine’s arrival.

  10. IMO..Slafkovsky should be sent down,,RHP should stay ..Slafkovsky for his size is not hitting ANYBODY..his passes hardly ever hit his team mates ..blind passes don't work… seems lost out there most times.

  11. Dach is coming around, Anderson was awesome! I know everyone is on the Jake Evans bandwagon but he was on in OT loss missed coverage, didn’t get puck out on winner against Rangers, minus player in career, doesn’t hit, 4th line is max we build up these bit players and criticize our better players

  12. Hey, the table at the beginning shows real salary of the players? So Saf is the 5th cheapest player? And 3rd cheapest forward out of 12? His linemates getting 3-7 times more? What are you complaining about? He is a bargain.

  13. 5 bad or questionable calls: 1) Fox trips Dvorak clearly before Matheson gets delay of game penalty, no call. Rangers score. 2) Anderson unbelievable roughing call, Rangers score. 3) Arber double roughing at end of 2nd, why? 4) Did anyone see blood on the Dach high stick? 5) Most egregious, missed tripping on Armia before the winning goal.

  14. Officiating was brutal…. first missing the Kreider interference against Anderson, than clearly targetting Anderson for an incredibly soft penalty because they didn't like him giving it to them on the missed call, somehow the Rangers get a PP after they start a scrum, even Xhekaj showed discipline when a Ranger jumped him while we had an odd man rush yet the refs blew the play dead when New York was getting the only call and we had possession, and Armia getting tripped at the end while short handed with no call was huge cause not only was it his man that scores but Armia would of got the puck out if he wasn't tripped… those 5 plays were all amatuer level and should be addressed by the league, cause there is no excuses for any of that – I've seen peewee houseleague games with better officials – it's getting ridicolous how poor and inconsistent the officiating has become across the board in every game….
Loved to see Josh playing with some fire in this one., and him beating the crap out of Trouba was awesome..
Nick, Cole, and Lane were all great…
Although I do feel bad for Dach, plus he did have some chances out front, and I even thought his careless stick was more of a 2 than a 4 despite the drop of blood that was somehow detected – but he's been bad this year and that penalty did cost us the game, so people hating on him is to be expected after the loss, especially since we were having such a strong 3rd period and we looked to have all the momentum until we gave them that last PP…
Overall, I still thought it was a slow start in the first other than Josh's fight but we came on after they scored, giving up a late goal at the end of the 1st hurt, the unforced errors were costly (not just Dach at the end, but Matheson giving them a 5on 3 when he put the puck over the glass was costly too), but I thought we played a good game and we were the much better team at 5 on 5 with a lot more high danger chances… development is still more important to me than results right now and I don't mind adding another top 5 pick so the loss isn't a real big deal, but with a young fragile team we could of used the W in this game, felt like we deserved it.

  15. 1. My love for Anderson is back baby I have loved the energy and power he has been playing with. 2. How did he get dumped in open ice when the puck wasn’t near him and not get a penalty but his clean hit was a penalty???? All game it was terrible reffing. Only the Habs could get into a brawl and have the other teams goalie throw a punch and still somehow end of on the penalty kill. That being said I loved the grit we played with tonight. It felt like at my moment the flood gates would open and we would score 4, we were finally putting pucks on net and getting some effort from the players. Quick played great today, he had to make some big time saves to win that game.
