I think Nashville will make the playoffs like 7th or 8
And the bruins still got shutout by this team #firesweeney
They are broken. Except when they play the Avs
O'Rielly – " I mean thank god it's Nashville though, at least no one care we suck" lol the master plan is working out great!
I’ve been saying since they signed March and stammer that they were overrated. I think something like 20% of stammers points were from the power play. They already overachieved last year, so I thought at best they would match last years outcome
A couple weeks ago (I think 1 game before Nashville got their first win of the season) I got into a little spat in a different comment section with a preds fan who said Nashville was a lock for the playoffs. As a fan of the then-undefeated Jets, I informed them that the actual playoff locks in the Central were obviously Winnipeg, Dallas, and Colorado, and that Nashville would be doing well to snag a wildcard spot in the absolute gauntlet that is the Central Division. After a little back and forth, they told me we'd revisit the topic in April, since we clearly weren't getting anywhere with talk. It is obviously not April yet, but 7 games later and the two teams they specifically called out as frauds (Winnipeg and Minni) are sitting happily as #1 and #3 in the league, and the preds have managed to make up 1 point over the bottom of the league. Things aren't exactly looking up there bud…
Trade Josie and Saros to the Oilers
Congrats to Kopitar for breaking the Kings all time Game Winning Goals record!
It’s almost like trying to recreate the Suter Parise experiment was a bad idea
They're losing becuase their uniforms are butt ugly
Wow 16 save shutout but edmonton outshoots NJ 30-16 and LOSE 3-0 😂😂😂
It's just another example of how the names on the jersey don't really matter that much.
Hockey is a team sport and the most important single thing is team spirit and how well players can play the game together.
History knows so many examples how some teams just become much more than just the sum of their parts and can be nearly unbeatable magically when they just click together.
Just go and check Miracle On Ice part 2, that is the miracle that happened in World Championships in 2019 when totally unknown Team Finland beat everyone and eventually went for the gold, all of the NHL's top players that every other team had on their roster and Finland had none, just bunch of unknown guys from their national league but man, how that team played in that tournament was just unbelievable!
Tampa and Vegas know when to dump their stars to make cap space. Vegas still doing very well.
The issue is not that they loose, that can happen. The issue is how. They look horrible in their losses.
it`s not only Stamkos and Marchessault, they also signed Skjei. That should be a really good team on paper, strong top 6, solid top 4 D with Josi, elite goalie with Saros.
Was at this game. The team, including the stadium crew, couldn't do anything right. From team coming on to the ice in sync with the entry music, to goal announcements, to the refs calling penalties 5 minutes after play stopped, to passing over shooting…. It was abysmal. I've been a season ticket holder for many years and this was by far the worst I've ever seen them play.
They'll be fine. A bunch of players have great advanced stats compared to their current production, so a turnaround is extremely likely. Just depends on if how they develop chemistry with all the FA signings this offseason
One of the predators problems is goaltending
Still too early to call this team.
I genuinely think they’ll be fine. I don’t think they’ll be as surprising as last year but they have talent, it’s only a matter of time before they figure it out at least enough to be as competitive as last year
Nashville is toast.
I think if things aren't turning themselves around by the 20 game mark, SOMETHING needs to give, cause nobody can afford to be in a slump at that point in the season
They need some U2 tickets and fast
Signing 35+ yo has-beens is rarely a winning strategy. Stamkos was only looking good because of Kucherov anyway.
But they were supposed to win the cup last season, everyone’s trendy pick to win it all before the playoffs started. And this year too!! The trendy pick to win it all because they got Stamkos!!
As great as a coach as Barry Trotz was I think as GM he has completely ruined this team. I think if not for the playoff appearance last year he would have gone through with a rebuild. But clearly this fooled him into thinking the team was closer to contention than it actually was. The Predators simply don't have a 1C, O'Reilly is probably a 2 or 3C at this point in his career and Stamkos is probably a winger.
Great Video, as usual, Nyquist
Just goes to show a star studded team doesnt always make star studded results
As a Nashvillian and Preds fan we simply suck 😂 but I have faith that they will eventually Gel and turn it around
I said Nashville isn’t making the playoffs this year and everyone called me crazy
