there's also a 3d from Colorado going to Columbus!!
Bad trade, if Jiricek couldn’t get in a lineup in Columbus. Do you think he’ll get in a lineup in Minnesota with Brodin, Spurgeon, Faber, and Buiium?😂 If I’m Jiricek, I’m wanting minutes.
Good job on Columbus getting quantity.
Might as well send a late first for a guy they clearly think can develop his skating game
3 coaches and 2 GMs have all agreed that Jiricek isn’t ready and the knock on him I’ve seen for 3 straight years has been the same – HE CANT SKATE. Maybe he reaches his potential in Minnesota but I’m trusting DW here that he knows how to evaluate defensemen. He built a pretty solid stable of them in Carolina.
This is just a weird trade. Like a low first and some other picks isnt a bad price for Jiricek, but Minnesota just… doesnt need him? Again, you already have Faber, Brodin, Spurgeon, and then Buium once Spurgeon retires. Maybe Guerin is cooking a 5d chess move of a blockbuster but as of right now I don't know what the point of this trade would be.
Cbj has seen his skating has NOT improved. That was the knock on him in the draft and why he fell to the 6th pick. If cbj is right it's a great trade for them…. if they are wrong….well
Hunt is a lefty Wild needed a Righty, with Zeev looking like he'll join the team after his college season ends it makes some sense to swap hunt, Hunt has looked good aside from not being a points earner on an Iowa team that's been handcuffed with Minnesota calling up guys constantly the last two years.
Jiricek will be a bottom pair dman but a solid bottom pair guy in a few years. Even if he is slow as crap he will be solid enough to give you 13 mins a night for cheap and not hurt you.
Im gonna throw up. Bunch of 3rd rounders and a low 1st rdr in a middlin draft year. This is the BEST offer he got?
He will be in exactly the same situation as in Columbus. He belongs in the AHL. The bad asset management by Wadell is the problem here.
minny got fleeced lol
I believe in the brain trust for the Wild. I mean, just look at the trade for Middleton and Faber! Excited to see him play now…….
hes got crazy potential. mark my words
Bill Guerin GREATER than Kyle Dubas. Basically a late 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd for a 6th overall. 3rds rarely work out, that's nothing. They traded down by trading a 5th for a 4th, no big deal. If the player works out and reaches his potential or is a longterm consistent mid, it's still a win for the Wild. At least CBJ didn't draft Shane Wright at 4th or Cutter at 5th. Daemon was a 3rd. I'd avoid anyone with the name Dxemon. Whatever, it's a we'll see later trade.
How was Dean’s guy Freddy Gudreau not included in this
