  1. Do players not know the rules? Unless it's a helmet, the play doesn't get blown down if the goalie loses their gear.

  3. Excuse me NHL..WTF was this B.S.!?! It's time to update the rules. Player safety matters, especially goalies as they are vulnerable. Stop the play. Penalties should be awarded as needed after. The idea of a goalie intentionally throwing away their protective equipment is ridiculous. Safety should be first, last and in every step. P.S. Sivlovs could have lost his hand or some fingers…the blood would've been on your hands as well NHL.
