Gotta See It: Landeskog’s punches Koivu while on bench
Say what you will about fighting in hockey, but even Nick Kypreos thought the sharp jab by Gabriel Landeskog on an unsuspecting Mikko Koivu while both players were on the bench was uncalled for.
I would absolutely hate to see my team captain to do something like this. An absolute disgrace. Hopefully he'll learn from this and won't make this kind of mistake ever again.
So much talent on the avs as leaders. (Tangauy, Iginla, Duchene, O'Reilly) but they gave the C to Gabe who brings intensity to the game but intensity doesn't/hasn't won games. Besides Iggy the other A is McLeod… I'm speechless for that choice. Roy is awful. As long as Roy is the Avs coach they'll never be a playoff team

Koivu means a tree in Finnish and that's exactly how he reacts to this nonsense. Just flutters his leaves and thinks "whatever dude" unless Landeskog brings an axe or a chainsaw.

They're saying Koivu was "calm cool and collected" but you can clearly see him take off his gloves..
