  1. I am not impressed at all with this group or coaching staff. That penalty kill is a slap in the face to anyone who has ever put on a pair of ice skates. The 2024 Detroit Red Wings look not only bad in their losses but bad in their wins. Leave Grand Rapids alone for the remainder of the season and get rid of some of these free agents at the end of this season, so you have room to bring players up next season. Fire Lalonde after this season and the PK coach.

  2. How has nobody asked him about his job status? or if hes talked to Steve about his job? This is a layup question every other city asked a red seat HC.

  3. Dylan..
your lack of leadership is the reason why players are going to be traded, and the coach being Fired.
    You Ruined Christmas! 😂

  4. Larkin was terrible against NJ. Just totally disengaged and a Turnover machine with the puck.

I’m so happy game in and game out we get Petry and Chariot together, what a wonderful pairing that is! Awesome seeing them on the leagues worst penalty kill and nothing changes. Good coaching LOLonde, and great challenge too. Talbot was way outside of the crease.

Speaking of the PK sucks. Rasmussen plays like he’s Mottes size, glad they gave him a 4 year extension, seeing how Detroit already has Six 4th liners. 3 out of 4 PPG’s for devils yesterday.

  5. People in the comments talk a lot of shit about Larkin being a bad leader. yet in interviews like this he doesn’t hide behind stats like lalonde. He speaks frankly about this team and where we are at while he concisely lists what issues we have on PK and how we can improve that going forward. Is he screaming at his guys in the locker room like Mcdavid? Probably not. But what scale of leadership are people using to measure when they say Larkin is a bad leader? He has stood unwavering and never even questioned leaving through some of the red wings worst years in history, only to watch half of his team disappear every offseason. Yet through all of it still managed to improve every single year. He is finally starting to have young and talented teammates around him that are from our prospect system and are here to stay. Just listen to the interview at the beginning of this season with Seider, Ray and other wings where they talked about how much Larkin means to the team and how bad they want to win a cup for him. He inspired the team around him, Evan an all star like Patrick Kane has nothing but praise for Larkins talent and leadership.
