Those of us in DC tried to warn you guys about Laviolette, this is nothing new for any of the teams hes ocached. Lavi consistently goes to a team thats on the cusp of something great regardless of management>takes credit when that team does well in spite of him (winningest US born coach)>tanks the offense of said team>the team trades away key young offensive talent>team tanks>Lavi and team part ways "amicably." It's so frustrating to watch as a Rangers fan myself. They can't shoot, skate, forecheck, defend. This is not even a playoff contending team right now. Quick is our best goalie and Igor has regressed a little. Things have to change quickly or heads are going to roll

As a Rangers fan, I agree whole heartedly. This team is so deeply flawed right now. And it's mostly, but not entirely, a lack of defensive effort. We are slow, lethargic, losing individual battles constantly just not showing up. I think Mika & K'Andre Miller need to go, which I HATE to say because I love Mika but if we're being honest and objective Mika hasn't been "present" for a couple seasons now. Something is up with him. Maybe it's burn out, general aging in a hyper competitive league…I dunno, but something is just deeply off with him. Maybe a new setting will do him some good. Miller on the other hand is simply a wasted talent. He's got the tools, but not the wisdom on how to use those tools.
We need help. We can not give Shesty this money, we have holes to fill. We have to hope we find a gem somewhere and use that money for a first line center and have to trade Trouba. Cuylle is a stud tho.

Honestly Drury needs to blow this team up before the deadline. Lots of pieces other teams will take but that you lose for nothing on expiring contracts or that will become even bigger albatrosses if they stay. Shesty and Lindgren need to go so they aren't lost for nothing. Trouba and Zibanejad need to go just to be gone. Miller needs to be moved rather than overpaid. Chytil needs to be placed in bubblewrap and moved before the next hit ends his career.
