The Penguins are back in action after Thanksgiving and they’ll have a weekend back-to-back starting in Boston on Friday night. Patrick and Hunter get you set for the first game, which is tonight at TD Garden. The Penguins have had some chaotic matchups with Boston over the last couple of years and with the Bruins’ early struggles, it could be a chance for the Penguins to build on the momentum gained in a win over Vancouver. Then, the Penguins will return home for a Saturday night date with the Calgary Flames. They discuss how, despite not having the most talent in the league, the Flames have been able to find success through a team-oriented approach. Finally, they go over some news and notes from practice as well as another young player possibly being linked to the Penguins.

The team that we seen against Vancouver was that our penguins? They were fast and strong on the forecheck. But they made us sweat making the game closer than it should have

Pay attention to the Pens’ biggest self-kills. Absolute D-league passing, inability to clear the puck out of their zone, lackluster defense. The Pens will turn over the puck in open ice, pass to invisible players, steal the puck only to turn it over or hot-potato it, etc etc etc. The younger guys seem to still know what tape-to-tape means, at least.
I wouldn't be upset at Dach either, but I also wouldn't break the bank. I also saw Kevin Weekes put out a rumor about the Penguins being one of three teams potentially linked to Nils Hoglander from the Canucks. That I would like. I know Dubas showed interest in him last year, when the Penguins were in the process of dealing Guentzel.
I also saw the Jiricek rumor isn't dying and The Penguins are one of 6 teams interested in him.
I honestly think Puljijarvi would fit amazingly on a line with Geno and Bunting. No clue why they haven’t tried that yet. That line would be a lot to handle with two big guys who can skate well and have good offensive skills. Puljijarvi is great on the forecheck and would get Geno more looks.

Big, hard fought win over bruins. Maybe best game of the season for pens. This one or the capitals game. I like tomasino's game. Puts the puck on net with regularity and hopefully he's just scratching the surface of his potential with the penguins. After a 1st period of no net front presence, drew o'connor was living in swayman's head thru the 2nd and 3rd period. Whole reason tomasino's goal got under swayman's pad. I dont know why bunting isnt doing that as much this season. That is how he scores goals. Cleaning up rebounds. By far best performance of season for jarry. Even karlsson was playing defense in this one. Might be the best defensive game of karlsson's career. Him and letang had the saves of the night or pens would probably had another lose. Kirby dach is a big kid with some potential. It wouldnt surprise me if dubas pulls the trade. Fits the glass and tomasino trades. If they could get him for a 4th or 5th rounder like tomasino it would be worth a gamble because i can see the youth of tomasino injecting a lil life into this team
