Damn that's a real shame, I'm an Oilers fan and was really bummed out seeing him and Broberg go but I blamed management for that and was happy they lit it up and made their statement. It really sucks that they both got injured so early, wishing him the best.
what a bunch of stupid medical personnel. Hey dummy, stop chewing your gum, the first thing you do is lay him down you do NOT keep them upright. Did you goto Devry?
The same thing happened to Anthony Stolarz tonight. He got a slap-shot puck right to the neck. I was surprised when he continued to play because it didn't ricochet off his shoulder like it appeared to do to Holloway, Stolarz took it full force straight to the neck (looked to be right in the jugular!). Hope Dylan is okay.
Look at the class of #11 on Tampa, doing what he can to get Wes' attention, and also how the Blues and Lightning players mix up a little bit as they are looking on with concern.
Best part of the video- and once again shows the class of hockey players – the ref is about to make a call when the two Bolts players skate over to tell him to wait.
Situations like this remind me how little most of us know about human anatomy and injury. There was no indication on either TV call about swelling, the vagus nerve or internal hemorrhage to say nothing about the trachea even though the contact was to the right. Likewise there was no apparent awareness of adrenaline or a delayed effect once slowing down. Most of us need to study anatomy and biology past high school to be better informed even though clearly we cannot know as much as we might like or need or as much as doctors. But I suggest professional announcers need more basic knowledge on injury so as not to come across so clearly ignorant.

It’s like someone in Edmonton put some juju, first Broberg and now Holloway

Botterill will be arguing for a sponge puck now….
Get better buddy , then come back to oil country ❤
So glad to read that he is stable and alert in the hospital. 🙏
Vagal Nerve Response.
Looks worse than it is.
Good to be cautious.
And still clears the zone. What a dog!!! Lets go Blues!!!
Suck it up u a hockey player geee whizzzz
took a blow in this area …it hurts! Hope it's nothing more serious
From an Oilers fan, we wish you all the best Dylan
I been hit in the throat like that, it's no joke, breathing is hard with swelling and then the adrenaline wearing off
That's a bad part of the neck to possibly be hit in with a puck (since it vulcanized rubber chilled to -16C for game use).
it hit his collar bone, not his throat.

Sunny. Right on top of things. Great teammate.
Broken collar bone imo.
That's a cdn. And the Oilers are going to miss him.
Canadian boys tough
Hope he’s alright.

DID Y'ALL NOT LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT WEARING NECK PROTECTION IN HOCKEY FROM PEOPLE DYING BY GETTING CUT IN THE NECK WITH SKATES
As a oilers fan I say good luck to a former player
Do they not have C collars in Canada? WTH?

I Hope He'll Play Vs Connor Bedard At The Winter Classic
Дай Бог здоровья Дилану…
He is okay. Was cleared about 24hrs later.🏒
