@Vancouver Canucks

the NHL should be embarrassed for this…

Great win for the vancouver canucks. With Miller, Boeser and Demko out i am proud of the effort. Pettersson is looking so good now with sherwood and debrusk. Also what a time to be alive to have Captain Quinn Hughes being not only the best defenceman in canuck history but possibly in the who national hockey league. Too bad he gets ejected beacuse of a game misconduct early in the 1st. good goaltending as always. When things get tough, we will overcome!

  1. SUBSCRIBE!! Also, let me know what you think about Hughes getting thrown out! The good, bad and the ugly…

  2. I feel like the penalty is definitely justified, I've seen that called a bunch, guy is in a vulnerable position, as shown by the outcome, laying that hit lead to him eating the boards, that to me should be heavily penalized. Dont think it was malicious or anything, but sometimes it doesn't have to be malicious to be a game misconduct, just a bad set of circumstances. I feel like your complaint is more that Hughes got ejected because he's a star and people pay to see him. If anyone else lays that hit and gets a game misconduct are you complaining? Stars shouldn't have different rules because they're fun to watch.

  3. It's a bad call and as always the League explanation is phrased as if we all didn't even see the play. A slight cut on the nose is an "injury" so the War Room has an excuse not to overrule the officials the League coddles and shields from all criticism. If teams complain its a fine of at least $20K

  4. Paid to see him. Even more glad that the team held the Sens off without their 1C/1W/1D/1G though. 🙂

  5. Norris was reaching back for the puck. Then bench staff ran him directly into dressing room with an “injury”. Enacting rule book.

  6. greatest defenseman? Holeeeee shit where do you get your drugs? It was a bad hit, quit crying about spending $$ to watch an opponent play.

  7. Clumsy play, deserving a penalty. Not vicious, but clumsy and endangered the other guy hitting him from behind. Shoulda been a minor penalty.

  8. If they reviewed this incident ( which they did ) they would see that Hughes didn’t extend his arms with any force at all and Norris was losing his balance before the love tap. When Norris reappeared from the dressing room before the penalty was up, he should have received an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty. There should be a rule that when someone lays on the ice like they’ve been shot and then comes back on the ice less than 5 minutes later it’s a penalty or at least a fine.

  9. Maybe there should be a minimum on how long a player should have to leave rhe game if there is a suspected injury.
Like if the rule says a guy needs to be injured to result in a game misconduct, then that player should be required to actually miss time.

If you think you're hurt then there should be a 5 minute minimum for how long you need to wait before coming back in the game. At least then a player can't leave and then come back like nothing happened.

Maybe the "injured" players coach can elect to administer a game misconduct, but the "injured" player must remain out for 10 min or until the end of period if less than, or else the coach can choose to aminister a double minor instead and the "injured" player can remain in the game after a quick evaluation.

This could instentivise players to not fake it, and prevent legitimately injured players from returning too soon and relieve proper evaluation.
If you take the game misconduct and the player is fine, then it's better safe than sorry.

  10. to any salty sens fans watching this…. put the video on slowest speed and watch norris right skate….. he caught an edge. haters lmao

  11. Wow. Nothing sadder then a bunch of Homer's excusing this sort of play when their home town star is the offender.
If the shoe was on the other foot you would all be asking for several games for punishment. The rules were followed to a tee. This is what is wrong in the world today. Nobody can be straight up faif and honest anymore. People suck.

  12. I played junior and college hockey back in the 70’s. Being physical had a different meaning then. If a player on any of the teams I played on ever hit a guy in the back and into the boards, we his teammates would have crucified him in the dressing room. So much in hockey is better today but these sissy crosschecks to the back and/or into the boards need to exit the game. One of the greatest goal scores to play the game, Mike Bossy quit because of those kinds of hits. IMHO Hughes needs to be better and totally deserves the penalty.

  13. I call BS. He checked him into the boards, from behind, and caused an injury. Players play injured the time. The rules are the rules, quit getting salty.
