It’s remarkable that Ovechkin has an outside chance of scoring more goals than Gretzky in fewer games!! Unthinkable considering the differences in eras. Ovechkin needs 32 goals in 46 games to do this. That’s slightly below the pace he’s scoring at so far this year. I hope he does this to add the cherry on top his already unreal record chase.

VERY unpopular opinion but I can't stand ovechkin.
This team looked like they were so out of gas last year and somehow surpringly made the playoffs still looking like the franchise is going to plummet and would be in a battle for last this season. They replaced some misfits with more misfits and this on-paper band of misfits have some serious on ice chemistry.
Washington is monster this season. And the veteran Ovechkin does nothing to spoil Washington’s games with his goal record
