To be perfectly honest, this is a nice change of pace, I'm hoping instead of an insanely successful regular season only to die off quickly in the playoffs, they'll figure it out sometime during the season, and finish with momentum going into the playoffs for once.
I'm so tired of hearing about how it was a mistake to let DeBrusk go. His 10 points in 18 games so far this year wouldn't change Boston's fortunes. He was decent, but way too inconsistent/streaky.
Boston is garbage and all ways will be they make me sick to my stomach I despise the bruins more than life itself.

We won with a shutout, drawing 7 penalties scoring on 1 and killing all 4 PK. Thats a great turnaround. Lets all chill out and let them play. I think they will turn it around. Monty is a quality over quantity guy, the 2023 Bruins had the skill players to play that way, last year and this year does not. Thats why they had the 15 ties last year. Now its about shooting from everywhere and attacking the net for rebounds, a more simple way of playing. Why is th PP so bad? well even with and extra guy, playing on the pp, is about moving the puck and finding the open shot. Not any more , shoot from everywhere and use the extra guy to get possession, and grab rebounds for greasy goals. They also need to win more faceoffs , no more Bergy.

yes that 2013 ……3 pick in the teens was a disaster, but thats over. the 2023 bruins were incredible, but that loss in 1st round, even though it came as close as marchands miss in gm 5 final minute. but thats hockey at nhl level. They did get to final stage 4 times since 2011, 2013, 2019, 2023 year was all not sweenys doing, they just didnt execute. so lets calm down and i will end this rant! They will be fine this is NOT the Dallas cowboys! lol

Signing Elias Lindholm was the death nell to the Boston Bruins. He's just a lazy hockey player. Obviously he wants the big money but not the big team commitment. He's like Matt Duchesne…a great player in his contract year.
Under Monty, the 50/50 goalie rotation kept the Bruins in every regular season game for 2 years. Sweeney blew that up in the off season. Their only hope for this season is to return to the 50/50 rotation, in spite of Swayman's pathetically inflated salary. They also needed to get younger and faster for 3years. Sweeney has just hired older slower players this year.

Bruins fire their coach who led them to a historic regular season, meanwhile the pens just gave Sullivan an extension after practically missing playoffs the past 4 seasons with a competitive roster. No wonders bostons rebuild doesnt feel like a rebuild

Swayman play wasn't very good in alot of those Losses.i think they would have gotten better.my personal opinion is management made the right decision by letting Jim go.but I don't count. its what management wanted to do, to try to get the team going in the right direction. I wish Jim all the best for him and his family.
Wasn't harsh enough, Bruins fans had Brady for 20 years, broke the curse with the Sox and continued to win, Celtics are probably the greatest basketball team in history. I know plenty of B's fans who became fans after the 2011 Cup yet no one wants to remember or talk about the 90s Bruins teams which unfortunately I grew up with. Hopefully the B's are awful for the next 10 years.

The Bruins went to a bigger defense and they are slow last year's defense was fast and skillful the chemistry with Swayman is off because of this and his contract debacle shouldn't have happened but it did so he's late out of the gate the forwards are out of sync especially with center iceman basically the team is not built to mesh together it shows with the powerplay and penalty killing now to Brad Marchand is their a rub going on? He's not himself possibly and this might be real I'm not sure he is getting points but sometimes its it's hard to identify he is special I'm a true fan of The Rat let's remember the Bruins barely got by the Maple Syrup Leafs in the first round last yr. And the Leaflets were a mess then booted by the Panthers who are built for the playoffs so the Bruins changed their team's chemistry with good intentions but it's not easy to do and so far not working i don't have the answers of course I don't want to criticize the management but when they keep firing solid coaches I believe changes are still the result of upper management not picking the right pieces so the end of last year's season was a problem and the attempt to upgrade and fix things isn't working so now what? It'll play out with all eyes on Don Sweetie and staff

Bruins have been underachieving for 51 of the last 52 years. 2011 continues to look like a fluke. A lot of us knew the record setting REGULAR season in 2022-2023 was going to equal a 1st round exit. It's called Bruins Hockey. We've seen this movie 50x. They never have scoring depth, weak face-off and centermen play has been a Hallmark of this club no matter who has been GM. The Jacobs don't care as long as they get 4 home games to sell beer and popcorn in the 1st round. Any deeper in the playoffs and they worry about the bottom line. The fan base has been so loyal that they can depend on the suckers to sell out the building each game. I quit being a fan in 2019. I threw away enough money on this team the last 40 years.
They needed a young Centerman 4-5 years ago and trade some of the aging guys their windows closed when Patrice Bergeron retired.
Don’t give the owner and his son the peanut boy a pass, the owners do not care about winning a Stanley Cup and never have since they bought it from the Adams Family. Their main business is concessions and it was the driving factor of their purchase, them team is built to put fans in the seat to buy their over priced beer and food which is one step up from garbage. Swiney and Neely are not capable of building a winning team their drafting is laughable, their trades make you shake your head. I still have ill feelings from Raymond Bourque asking to be traded after so many great years of service just for a shot at getting his name on the Stanley Cup thank God it worked out and I still shake my head at the Bruce Cassidy firing who promptly went on to win a championship with an expansion team while the Bruins hired a drunk for a new coach who was dismissed from the Stars under shadowy circumstances his first year he drove the Bruins to the best record but went into the playoffs gassed and lost in the first round despite being up 3 games to 1 to the Florida Pissants!

Sweeney and Neely are dipshits. I'm so sick of their outdated beliefs of what a hockey team should play like. We need way more speed and skill. The league has changed and dumb as shit management needs to realize the league isn't built on size and forwards with no skill or scoring ability. We've historically drafted horribly and gotten rid of our best forwards. Without Krejci and Bergy there is no one to facilitate offense. This abysmal start to the season is in no way Montgomery's fault. Roster sucks and the team is scattered as shit.

Bruins have not been an elite team in years. They only have 1 cup since the 70's. Now they have gotten even worse than they were in 1996 when Kasper was their coach. They overpaid and over extended contracts on players that they didn't know much about. Also, they are letting star players have restrictions in their contracts from being traded to certain teams. Who would agree to that?
If it were me, I would change up the team with a big trade at the deadline. Outside of a few veteran players, I don't see how they could not make multi player trades.
