The Pittsburgh Penguins pulled off the 4-2 victory over the Washington Capitals in what was the 95th matchup between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin. However, Evgeni Malkin played the hero as a late goal in the third sealed the deal for the Penguins.

    I said before the season started they needed to move Malkin to Crosby’s line, permanently.

    You can’t have two guys pushing 40 centering your top two lines because their legs can’t necessarily compete with the age-20-something stars in the league. But their hockey skill sets are still near-elite levels. So, together, they can be an imposing offensive force. Separated, with a bunch of ho-hum supporting forwards? Forget it.

    This needs to be Mario/Jagr 2.0 the rest of the way.

    Good highlights. EK65 redeems himself from Sid and Geno. Bunting from EK65. Next Bunting and EK65 get burned for a goal. Rust is back in the lineup and takes it to the cage hard and Malkin scores. Acciari saves a goal. Acciari burns Ovechkin and scores a huge empty netter. Blomqvist had lots of saves on Ovechkin. Great rivalry game.

    IDK what the coach is doing, but the Caps played like crap. They had speed and skill to start the season, but now look slow and lazy. My guess is that they are trying to get Ovi goals, but that doesn't work, teams sit on him. They need to get back to what they did at the start of the season and try to win games first, the goals for Ovi will come with that. Tired of this crap.

    Solution for the Pens. Move Karlsson to wing on the Crosby Malkin line, and Rakell to defense. Rakell can't score from the slot, but Karlsson can. You aren't sacrificing anything on defense.

    Nobody in NHL history ever gave up on more plays than Ovechkin. I wouldn't take him on my road hockey team.

    Овечкин ждун и шарохвост ,догоняла ,играть на команду , за кубок, а не гнаться,бить рекорд,хороший,0дин из великих,но не лучший.В Сан Хосе он 4 е звено или в другой низкой команде ,просто нужно играть.А у Барашка …..бизнес.😊
