  1. "everything i experience, I am responsible for."….. Classic new age gaslighting. Hope he doesn't get taken advantage of my the New Age crowd.

  2. In 2007, Toews earned a second-straight World Junior gold medal. In the tournament semi-final against the United States, Toews scored three times in the shootout to advance to the final

  3. Let's be honest, he's played his last game in the NHL. His health issues or at least the explanations that he offers of them are shaky at best which leads me to question how much of his issues are inside his head.

  4. Prolly didn’t need to go to India. Just visit a holistic doctor in the U.S. get some blood work done and get to it. If he is using Canadian medicine it’s probably where it went wrong

  5. Brutal. I absolutely feel for Toews. It hurts so much to be unable to do the things you love due to factors out of your control.

  6. The jab did a number on this guy. Now he’s in India doing metaphysical garbage to try and get healthy 😂

  7. Toews was not underrated, TSN always had him in top 3 players, Crosby, Ovi, Toews or Crosby, Toews, xxx. He was properly rated. Hawks had an immediate turnaround once he signed. In the 2013 shortened year he was robbed of the Hart Trophy as he was in top 5 of all major stat categories. Ovi got it because he had the most goals, Ovi was horrible all around player and that is why he only won one Cup and did not get close in any other of 19 seasons. Fact. Head to head, he always outperformed Crosby, Tavares, Ovi, etc. In Olympics which is best on best, he was the best player – just ask the Canadian coaches. In 2014 he scored the golden goal but that never gets mentioned. First ballot HOFer. Facts.

  8. He won't be on the ice again but would love to see him on the bench. Unfortunately the Hawks have distanced themselves from everyone around during the Beach incident.

Captain Serious was fun to watch.

  9. I joined the ARMY in 1999 and had walking pneumonia for almost 2 years until it finally went away. I think when I first got sick it was a miserable winter and I had a difficult time going through my trialing and running as I was always out of breathe. I was able to barely pass all my schools finishing almost dead last in airborne and air assault training after my second deployment I finally got better and nothing fazed me. I can understand why Toews left hockey as you want to play your best and you’re physically not able to perform at your best, if he stayed on he would be a laughing stock.

  10. If he says he is healthy i could see him playing an Asimov role with a contender. That said i don't see him formally retiring until have does. Both then go in first ballot together.

  11. I miss him so much I was 6 when he was sick, there is one time were he gave me his stick you don’t understand how much I miss him

  12. I think he goes down as one of the better two way forwards in NHL history. Im a Cats fan he reminds me a lot of Barkov. Huge requirement to win a cup is a strong two way forward.

  13. The Covid vaccine devastated Toews. I feel bad that these elite and healthy young men were forced to take this awful bioweapon.

  14. Marian Hossa's retirement, forced by a severe skin condition worsened by wearing hockey gear, is truly significant. His impact on those teams was just as crucial as Kane and Toews. The Blackhawks' Cup victories didn’t begin until Hossa joined the team through free agency.

  15. I think the coffee enemas from the Indian subcontinent will give him the skating chops that he lost. He may be a little butt hurt going forward, but salve will help.
