How does that solve the hole at Top 4 D? Sid is still great, but when you score 4 goals and lose, scoring is not the problem. The goalies need help back there. And what it would cost to bring him as well as cap considerations would be ridiculous.

If Crosby were to get traded, which is 99% not happening, the Wild would be another spot. Guerin is the GM, Fluery is still on the roster and he played hockey at Shattuck St. Marys in Faribault (30-40) miles south of the Twin Cities. We have a ton of D core prospects and not enough spots for all these potential NHLers. Wild still in need of a center so it makes sense…

Ugh, as much as this would be a dream, would hate to mortgage our entire future on it. we have a history of old veterans that come over to underperform. but this is Crosby though… one knock last year was how little playoff experience we had. this would be a nice jolt to get that experience and leadership. i think back of how the Sedins learning a lot from Sundin…. does our core need something like that? just don't know how we'd make it work…
