Jim Montgomery Mic’d Up in Blues’ Coaching Debut



St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou and coach Jim Montgomery were mic’d up in his debut as the Blues head coach, while leading the team to a 5-2 victory against the New York Rangers.

Road to the Discover NHL Winter Classic presented by Enterprise will document the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues in the lead up to the Discover NHL Winter Classic on Dec. 31 at Wrigley Field. The first episode will premiere on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. ET on TNT in the U.S. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 8:30 p.m. ET on SN1 in Canada.

  2. Sure it’s one game and against the sucky rangers but this team played with more energy than I have seen them play with all year. It looked like a different team.

  4. That’s a true coach…Monty and Berube have it. I like Bannister and hope he does well but his demeanor is a lot like Marmols for the Cardinals. They don’t exactly amp you up.

  5. I'm a Dallas Stars fan, but I will continue to follow Jim Montgomery his entire career. An absolutely AMAZING coach, makes me sick that the Stars let him go.
    Congratulations Blues fans, Monty will get the very best possible out of your team and you're going to love watching it happen.
