CGY Outlook: While it did hurt losing former Red Wings forward Anthony Mantha, I see Huska having the entire team play well. The goaltending looks good. The splits are 9-3-0 at the Saddledome and 3-4-3 on the road. A 61-61 (GF-GA) split, 26 of 32 on the PK (75.4). Won four of the last five and Wolf looks to be a strong Calder candidate and if he keeps this up, will be an All-Star and frontrunner.

DET Outlook: The rumor mill is humming. GM Steve Yzerman had a deal for Steven Stamkos in the offseason complete and owner Chris Ilitch said no?! With Detroit struggling is Joel Quenneville replacing Lalonde? Not sure how accurate that is, but Jim Montgomery is back with the Blues after 48-hours and Todd McLellan is still available. Upcoming CGY, NJ, VAN, BOS, OTT, COL. Go on a six-game win streak or I already see a non-playoff team. Just remember, in Detroit’s nine wins to date. Five of them are against two teams in a sweep. NYI x3 and NSH x2.
