No. I was at the Anaheim/Toronto game in Toronto last year.
It was 9-2 for the Leafs.
The year before they lost 7-0.

Long time Ducks fan and this change is 100% because Fowler is on IR during the streak. He is so passive he destroys the team. A defensemen always on D with 2 hits all year.

Problem with anaheim just like with chigago is that nobody knows who even plays there, anaheim in all these years at the bottom has been able to snatch them troy terry and zegraz? Two maybe if 3line guys.
Gibson coming back has definitely been the catalyst over these past few games. 3-0-0 so far and gives the team confidence that they have 2 extremely capable net minders covering for their mistakes.

Id say they win 6 or 7 out of the next 10 games and solidify the turn-around, then keep the momentum. Its been so nice to see smiles on the bench again. The scoring took a while to open up, but it seems like Gauthier broke his curse, and they are finally finding some line chemistry up and down the roster.

The powerplay has shown signs of improvement under Clune but the PK is terrible, they're using a diamond formation this year and it has not been working at all.
and they all laughed when i said we shoulda traded gibson instead of a big contract cuz dostal in the pipeline.. coulda just went thru rental goalies till he was ready and got a haul for gibby. honestly hes been fine tho most ga have been ppg so i dont put those all on him.
fowler needs to go tho and fabbri can just not come back.. mct too many dumb penalties his whole career.. should try him as a power forward maybe?
I was at the blackhawks game and they were playing how I expect them to clamping down on the other team defensively and communicating with each other to create those chances to score. That’s what they’re really good at and I hope that’s what keep focusing on too. All I really needed for them was just some improvement this year but if they can get back into the playoffs the first year they went back to the original logo that would make me very happy.
Just watched the Ducks game against the Sabres. The Ducks are heading in the right direction. I like how the forwards press, and the whole team in general. The Sabres struggled getting out of their own zone much of the game.
I still think cronin needs to go. IDK if hes just playing dumb or if he is dumb, but hes had some wildly inappropriate answers to media questions for a HEADCOACH in the NHL. Didnt play leason or Gauthier in OT against buffalo and when asked he said they were going out next yet a couple players had already played 2-3 shifts, is just crazy
I think if this team is at or above .500 by January 1st, they make the playoffs. They’re missing one or two key pieces and need to offload some players to pick up some key talent, but I think the management knows $24 million is plenty of wiggle room to be able to do whatever they want.
High hopes but they just need to prove it to everyone!

i disagree very much with gudas. yes he is a physical player but i think it was time to make history and make carlsson ten e captain and not gudas. he is a 3rd line defenseman in my opinion and doesn’t have as much skill as zellengwer or others, although he does have more experience but still doesn’t make him a good captain
I absolutely agree with your take on Gudas and it’s surprising how little folks at my job, who are also ducks fans; undervalue his impact. I understand cause he doesn’t explicitly make the number go up directly every game, but he LOVES Anaheim’s organization (which is one of the better ones in the league) and he sticks up for the team in smart ways. Leadership counts and plays a role, we miss Getzlaf here in Anaheim so getting Gudas was a huge boon and it shows. Only G last names for team captain role from now on
IMO, the Ducks need to just stay relevant as long as they can. Even if they don't make playoffs, if they can show that they are close, they will have an easier time brining in free agents next offseason. This upcoming stretch will show if they have improved at all or are still a basement dweller. If they are out of the race by Christmas, it may be time to look at another coaching change in the offseason.
This is on the shoulder of The Zeg. He needs to step up production. Cant rely on the rookies.
