Bourque just has one assist this season in his first five games after missing most of training camp with an injury. We saw him healthy scratched for the first time in Boston, but Joey believes this could be whats best for the Stars and Bourque until he starts to find his confidence at the NHL level. I love how you described maverick’s game, I don’t think he’s as skilled as pavelski, but he needs development time in the NHL to show his true colors.
Honestly, I want him to play at least 50 games, if not 60-65 games this season. I’m okay with him doing subpar this season because it lowers his salary. Now, he is still very promising, but he’s only going to cost 1-1.5/2-3 years. THAT signing is when he will be a steal.
He HAS to play more than every other, but I think they’re also trying to highlight to him that the clock is ticking, there is competition, and that competition is coming in HOT. Stankoven, Harley, marchment, and Robertson needing resigned at the same time is going to be harsh, especially since seguin’s contract won’t be up. I’m not a huge fan of mason’s contract, and I still don’t see how it’ll do anything but go up to 5.5ish
I wish they had signed Duchene longer than a year. I like him. I really hope he stays with us. He fits.
