I love that he didnt give up on play there but in reality that was probably 1 instance where he wouldve been better off to just give up on it cuz his chances of stopping that goal were slim to none and going for hit there wasnt guna stop the goal probably anyways!? He wouldve been better off trying to dive and knock puck away!? Really diving and trying to knock puck away was probably his only chance of actually stopping the goal!? You missed the part right afterwards though where after acting all cocky, this guy literally run and hid from Dillan. So basically he has no problem acting all cocky in the face of a guy half his size.. But when someone closer to his size that can throw hands challenges him, he acts like a coward and flees for the hills.
Reminiscent of the hit Scheifele put on Evans a few years ago, but the size difference was the other way around. The result is Scheifele is a pariah and Hughes a laughing stock. Kind of absolves Scheifele a bit.
