Man I couldnt tell you all if Detroit will be 12th place in the conference, or get a wild card or even possibly a 3 seed. I think theyll have between the 6th and 12th best record though. But whew! They've been outshot so badly in the last 2 games, yet still won. Look at that first period, what was it like 17-8 yet Detroit's ahead.. you just can't keep that going unless you have a Hasek level goaltender in there. So I see them probably like 36-34-12 or so, over 80 but not near in the playoffs. This game was an enigma, NJ basically only scoring on power plays yet hammering them at points. But more of those ranged shots are gonna go in on average throughout the season for sure
