The Dallas Stars power play struggles continue in a 4-2 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen made 28 saves in the contest and had the Stars frustrated most of the night. On today’s episode of Locked On Stars, Joey begins with another discussion about the power play. Dallas shuffled up personal but only mustered up one shot on three power plays last night. Joey then switches the conversation to the Stars offense as a whole. Players like Wyatt Johnston, Roope Hintz, Jason Roberstson and others need to step up. We finish out today’s show with a more positive outlook as the Stars head to Boston for a matchup with the Bruins on Thursday.

Deboer needs to grow up and decide if he wants to have his best buddy on the team or a fuckin stanley cup. Spott needs to be fired or demoted and if Deboer gets pissy he can leave, we're trying to win a Cup not have a get together with friends
It was a deserved loss from how bad everyone played with the exception of Oettinger who kept them in the game for most of the night. Hate to say it but even though the Stars are the better team they were very much outplayed that night. I had to turn the game off after we went down 2 goals to 0 with how many turnovers they made, the crappy puck handling, and for the love of God, the lack of shooting on the powerplay, was embarrassing but on a positive note. The Stars are very good at coming back from hard losses like this so I'm expecting a big response against Boston tomorrow night. Not impressed with Mavrik Bourque, I think we should send him back down to the AHL and bring up Bischel or bring up Oscar Back.
I had to turn it off, can’t stand this core group when they look like they have no interest. Props to tank and mush. Mavrik looks lost and slow.
Granted, Buffalo is 3-1-1 in their last 5…
It seemed like everyone had stone hands, the puck was bouncing off of their sticks oddly, and the boards. Honestly the rink Buffalo plays in is far from my favorite, but dang. Especially since the hotel you stay in is attached to the rink, they should be well rested.
Stankoven was finally in a spot that I thought he could score, in tight and moving, and hit the post. I was really hoping he would break the damn, and at least a takeaway from this game would be bursting the bubble.
I still think maverick needs to stay. He got an assist, hopefully that makes him relax some.
I’m very annoyed with our top guys but specifically Robertson and Heiskanen. Like how does a guy who’s supposed to be “one of the best” has ZERO points unacceptable for an elite player.
Jamie can’t be on the powerplay anymore. He can’t handle the puck whatsoever and is a turnover machine. Give Bourque a shot or put someone else up there but this is unacceptable
We looked asleep out there last night. We didn’t decide to play til the end of the game. But the PP has got to make some changes. It’s non existent. Something has to change. PP sucked last year. It sucks again this year. We’re still doing the same stuff we’ve always done. Why?
There’s no such thing as a bad shot on net. Hard to score if you don’t take any shots.
