Joshua Roy had his best game of the season after struggling a bit in the first 2 games, the offense found their way in the home opener and things got a bit physical between the two sides. Jakub Dobes was solid in net and Adam Engstrom has impressed so far in North America.
Dobes – stopped 25 of 27
Roy – 2 goals, 1 assist, 6 shots, +2
Tuch – 1 assist, 3 shots, Even
Engstrom – 1 assist, Even
Simoneau – 1 goal, 1 shot, 5 pims, +1
Roy Goal 5:21
Roy Goal 8:06
Roy Assist 9:47
Simoneau Goal 10:41

Yooooo le doigt cassé après le combat 🤮🤢
ABB best player on the ice, Roy was pretty opportunistic playing off him on the PP.
Maybe that's because they have an actual coach that knows what he's doing.
Est-ce moi ou la vidéo est drôlement montée? 😮 mais encourageant ce qu’il y a à Laval; ça me donne le goût d’y aller 🎉
They should force the entire habs roster to watch this game . They might learn a thing or two about gritt and intensity… how the game of hockey is meant to be played .
omg arsenault's FINGER
I really liked Messar and Back
Engstrom est très bon!
1:41 Outch
Dobes might end up in Mtl this year
Anyone else notice the broken finger after the fight???
What a great fight for Arseneau, before he started throwing he actually paused for a second and adjusted his broken finger.
Pourquoi le 2e but de Syracuse a été refusé?
Dobes looks much more mature and confident now. He used to more around very quickly all the time even when not needed and now looks more relaxed and in control. Dobes speed is part of his game but he is being more efficient with his energy and this will help him and the team. The team will feel more confident with Dobes being more relaxed. Dobes impressed management and I am not surprised. I have always believed in Dobes. He is going to be a good NHL goalie.
Much better game than the first ones it seems, victory not withstanding the most important is to see the collective effort, more lines than just the first finally starting to click together, the first line with a rougher start for once (Davidson & Mesar more hindering each other than working in harmony this time) but quickly able to turn things around in the 2nd & 3rd and the defensive pairings not too troubled with the call up of Mailloux, with Trudeau among others stepping up to keep allowing the same freedom to Engström. Very reassuring overall. I'm sure there will be other downs & setbacks and it will be even harder to replicate that on the road but the signs are getting positive.
Damm what a fight. That finger is NOT okay
who is laval coach why is he actually good?
should send hutson down so he has a chance to play with a decent team for once
you didn't show Arsoneau reset his finger like an absolute stud
I wish the Habs would play like this
Le foutu chamaillage à chaque coup de sifflet …
