yes, please make that trade happen every day of the week and twice on Sunday. They have all the D they need and they have great offensive guys who are going to anchor the power play in three years. Love Rasmus, but the plan was rebuild, his time is now. The number one need this team has and has had forever, top line center. No one trades you a number one center? Not intentionally! They need to draft high and build a base of real prospects. The Flames have been having fun playing loose, getting a lot of luck. Nice, but its not going to get them anywhere when hockey matters. Sure, young guys are going to do all they can to win, the vets have pride, (the misfit Flames) but it’s the grownups that get paid to not get lost in all this. IF they can seriously contend, I’m always all in; you get one chance to throw the dart, can you get a bull’s eye at twenty feet or are you reaching? To get Tij would be a huge win. A massive step toward something real for a decade plus. To get that trade done would be one of the all-time great moves in franchise history. You would be turning 53rd into a marquee player; face of the franchise. A move that would out do losing Tkachuk. They have done well drafting considering JG was a fourth round. I begged for them to trade him in his second year…. why? because he was worth a king’s ransom and they were not ready to contend. That and he played a position they could have filled adequately. What they needed was a right wing not a diminutive first Line LW star who could never carry the team. You need all the guys not one here and one there. Please for the love of Hockey stay the course. Ride one horse. He who hesitates is lost. How many ways can I say this. Pick top five for two years and make a few more good to great trades Keep Huska and win another cup before I die.
