Continuing through Canada, the Penguins found themselves in Calgary, the home of the Flames. Andersson scored first for the home team, but Bryan Rust’s power-play goal in the 2nd period tied things up. With the score tied, 1-1, entering the 3rd period, Rickard Rakell continued to fill the net with his fourth tally of the season. Then, Weegar pulled Calgary even again with a goal of his own. Noel Acciari scored his first of the season with under seven minutes left in regulation to give the Penguins a 3-2 lead, but Kadri sent the game to overtime with only 43 seconds remaining. After a strong overtime period, Kirkland won the game in the shootout for the Flames.
